Well. with what has happened here in the second, it is time for Acta to understand that you must play the producer...and sit the non producer. Santana's at bat and Marson's at bat should no longer be considered anomalies. As I see it, Marson's the starter and Santana is the mop up guy.
That's the only way Santana is going to understand this. If he doesn't like it...then do something about it....like listening to the coaches.

Somebody mentioned today that the coaches have finally worked with Santana regarding his swing.Crimson streak;1220460 wrote:5-0 tribe after the Santana double
I also saw a tweet from Olney stating the Indians have 26 fewer games against teams that are .500 than Boston does... Not sure why that's relevant, but it sounds like we have a pretty weak 2nd half schedule.

Wasn't Scott the dude in the 0-41 (or something like that) slump before he went yard last night? If so, looks like Tribe pitching has cured his ills.

I would guess both team's schedules are division-heavy in the 2nd half.hoops23;1220467 wrote:Somebody mentioned today that the coaches have finally worked with Santana regarding his swing.

The doormat AL Central is only 3 games under 500 now. 2 if the tribe wins. Kevin Youk has pretty much single handedly won all 5 games for the White Sox. Hindsight is always 20-20...but would have been nice to see Youk playing first here everday.Mulva;1220475 wrote:I would guess both team's schedules are division-heavy in the 2nd half.

It's not the White Sox that are to be feared....even with Youkalis.
The Tigers are lurking.

I disagree. everyone is stuck on the tigers still. Sox win the division easily. Tigers either stay where they are or fall behind the royals if the royals get hot.Con_Alma;1220481 wrote:It's not the White Sox that are to be feared....even with Youkalis.

Agreed. The sox have a good 1-2 with sale and peavy. And there lineup is very good. The tigers have no pitching besides verlander and there defense is awful

Disagree with point 1, I don't think Chicago is going to disappear, so they need to be feared a little bit. Agree with point 2 though. Detroit will go out and get a starter at the trade deadline if they need one.Con_Alma;1220481 wrote:It's not the White Sox that are to be feared....even with Youkalis.

I've never seen an umpire change their call and bring the team back on the field like that.

Justin upton is now available. Would probably take a lot to get him but he's only 24 and finished 4th in the MVP race last year and is under contract through 2015. It would more than likely have to include Lindor
