I locked it temporarily but just unlocked it. We were having a bit of discussion in the mod lounge to try to figure out whether we should just let everything go. Inconclusive, but I locked it in the interim.

It was originally in the srs bizness forum so probably had to determine who was getting infractions and who wasnt. Imo there shouldve been several handed out in that thread.

Generally, everything goes in the basement. The thread was initially in the other forum, then was moved to the basement. We were trying to figure out whether it was best to infract/warn for things that broke the rules before the thread was moved to the basement, or whether to let it go, or what. It's kind of a gray area, so I locked it while the mods tried to sort it out. At this point, it's here, so it's fair game.

With lots of mods and rules that have some gray, there are going to be mistakes or hiccups along the way. PM a mod or report a post and keep us in the loop as we get through this initial period of adjusting to the new rules. There's quite a bit of healthy discussion in the mod forum about situations that are borderline, and to the extent possible, we're trying to do more warnings/unapproving (or modifying) posts instead of just infracting. But, obviously, we appreciate the insight into what we need to do (1) moderate enough people will participate without (2) nanny-stating this all to hell.
