Is that recently? They should definitely not be putting 3-7 day holds on your paychecks. I get dozens of checks a day I have to look over and decide whether to place an 8 day hold, and I have yet to do it once. It almost never happens.

I'm assuming that was a couple years ago?

It was years ago but these checks would range anywhere from $5000 to $45000.

It's happened at my own bank after I flipped a house and took a $60k check in there. They held that for 3 days. It just pissed me off that they'd make me wait for the money so I left.

If it happened years ago, I don't really know what the policy was back then.

I know now, there'd be a 0% chance they'd be held.

Part of the reason I left was also the damn teller who would always give me attitude about it too. I'm thinking "bitch...you can barely speak English and YOU'RE going to give ME shit because I'm complaining about your stupid holds?" But mostly the reason for leaving was the holds on checks. Have no issue with 5/3 otherwise.

Lol...tellers can be the worst sometimes

We have a 32 year old european teller at our branch...she's the absolute worst. If you give her any pushback on anything, she'll flip out. She asked if I could work for her on a Saturday (bitch, I don't work Saturdays...) and I respectfully said I have plans, she told me I don't care about my job or this company lol

She gonna get canned here soon (we have a new manager, who hates her, and has received multiple letters and emails complaining about her customer service..not a good combination there).

I think the icing on the cake was when I had opened new business and personal accounts for an African American woman, and her sisters were waiting in the lobby..and she made a comment about whether my client would even have any money in either of these accounts...

My client took her money and walked down the street to Chase. Pissed me off.

There's a lady at the newer bank that I bank with that has TWICE taken my paycheck and instead of depositing it for a credit, she debited the amount from my account. Luckily, as soon as I get back from depositing my check (I get paid once a month/bulk commission check) I pay my bills online.

First time it happened I flipped my lid as my account was in a negative balance. Called the bank and they corrected it immediately. Didn't think she could possibly do it twice but she did.

If I ever draw the "short straw" and get stuck in her line I ask for my balance on the receipt before I leave the bank to make sure she didn't fuck up, AGAIN. SMH

5/3 Ten years ago screwed up my wife direct deposit paycheck took 3 weeks to correct their problem.
I sent them a invoice for $35.00 per check (total $350.00) that didn't clear because of their screw-up. 5/3 admitted the mistake and corrected the problem but the time, the additional work my wife had to do to prove the depost was made via the corporation wasa pain in the ass..

I have not recieved any payment on Invoice 5-3 UASS

Well my computer has been fucking up so I thought I would fill out my warranty paperwork. I was looking through my bank statements and noticed that a deposit I made 10 days ago of $3000 never showed up.

While I made the deposit, it showed me deposit amount, as well as the beginning balance and current balance. The beginning and current was the same, so I asked the teller and she said something like it would show up in my account the next day. I thought it didnt seem right, so I didnt throw my receipt away like I normally do. Luckily I found it in my car, and if I didnt have the receipt I have the feeling I would be fucked. I had to give them all the information on it and scan it to them.

Case is still under investigation.
