Yeah, he has to. I'd be pretty disappointed if Walt ends up surviving.

There could be a lot of ways, with great writing, that it ends up being the case. I thought The Shield was a masterful ending with the way it handled a similar character in Vic Mackey.

Actually that dinner scene last week makes me optimistic they can end this in a totally predictable way, but still brilliantly.

I just can't think of any scenario that Walt survives that would be a satisfying end. I mean, I don't doubt the writers at all. I am sure the ending will be epic. I just can't picture Walt living through this shit.

as long as skylar isn't the one to kill him, i'll be okay with it. also kind of wondering how the foreshadowing scene at dennys will play into him dying

It's just amazing how they've transformed his character. I mean, he's a bad guy now and it's hard to root for him. Compared to Vic Mackey, deep down, Vic was a good guy that basically did everything for his family. Walt started that way, but now he is all greed.

I think as soon as Walt knows that Hank is after him, and that he has no other real options...he fakes his death and leaves to continue making meth. Perhaps he loses the money somehow and continues sending Skylar new money?

We know that in like eight months he's 52 and hairy and very much alive.

It looked like he had the perfect out. Stop making meth for New Mexico and just ship it to Czech Republic. It would have been perfect.

Need I remind everyone about the intro to this season, where Walt is making a purchase?

Maybe Walt will kill his brother in law when he finds out he's getting too close. I hate these split seasons. I believe it's July of 2013 when it comes back? Way too long.

It's split because AMC was too cheap to green light 2 final seasons after last year. One wasn't enough, so they gave them 16 more episodes to wrap it up instead of the 26 over 2 seasons we should have gotten.

All the budget goes to Mad-Men and Walking Dead. In many ways BB has been the red headed step child of the channel. It took a while for their ratings to get going, but they are one of the few shows I know of that has improved every year in that department and will leave on a high note next year rather than limping to the finish line.

It's bullshit too because Mad Men may be the most overrated and boring show I've ever watched. I could barely get through 2 episodes. The Walking Dead doesn't interest me because I have never found zombies interesting. They're stupid to me.

BB is awesome. Last night was the first step to what we've all been waiting for. Can't wait for next summer.

I think that Walt will claim the cancer has came back and somehow fake his death. He will hit up Saul for the guy who does the identity change again.

I mean, I kind of understand it since I think BB's budget is upwards of $2 million an episode.

But it's definitely disappointing because it's by far my favorite thing on television right now.

Although I do love me some Walking Dead and I also think Mad Men is very well done.

As careful as Walts been all along I think its crappy writing to believe he would have left a book given to him by Gus sitting on the back of the toilet. Lazy writers.

Same diff. Point is no way Walt leaves that book lying around especially after Hank already found the initials W.W. on Gale's diary. Weak sauce is how I see it.

Perhaps Walt forgot about it? Things like that do happen in the real world. That's how a lot of criminals are caught, actually. Seems realistic to me.

yes I agree that's how criminals get caught in the real world. However this whole show has been about how Walt is so good at what he does is because he is an excellent "details" man...always one step ahead of his adversaries. I'm just saying this plot twist is inconsistent with how Walt's criminal personality has developed.

On the surface, I agree. But I also wouldnt be surprised if we get the backstory on how the book was put there next year and it comes together a bit more.
