Yeah, I'm sure Phillips has never had a bad series :rolleyes:

Kipnis still has better #'s despite having no protection in the line up. Phillips had a great series and is definitely a great second basemen, but Kipnis is 25 and has really yet to hit his ceiling. Phillips is 30..

Phillips had his best years when he was 25/26, there's no guarantee a player gets better. Nobody is saying Kipnis is a bad player, but we would like to see him do it for at least a few years before we say he's better than BP.

Exactly. There have been a lot of players who've had a good year (half of last year, half of this year) in the bigs, then sucked. Not saying kipnis is going to do that, but you have to do it a few years to really be able to compare to the other good players at your position.
