Lol yeah, that was a strike. But worked out for the Tribe. Got the next out and have Cueto leading off. Always prefer the pitcher to have to hit (or practice a sac bunt) than be able to bunt to advance runners.mhs95_06;1197158 wrote:Let's see the pitchtrax for that 3-2 to Ludwick!

DH sucks. Not looking forward to the NL adopting that rule in the near future.

I understand not liking the DH. But you will adjust, and have a lot more fun watching your team bat.sherm03;1197167 wrote:No...that's baseball.

So? You could have seen an Adam Dunn KO. Or you could have seen a lucky base hit by Gomez. Ha ha!hoops23;1197143 wrote:Yeah, watching Jeanmar Gomez lay down a bunt with a runner on first and 2 outs was an awesome thing to watch.
Anyhow, we get the top of the order up next.
Sorry to agree, Justin, but I also see all of baseball eventually going to it.
Sad. IMO

Yeah really. "Oh look, my pitcher is up with runners on 1st and 2nd and 2 outs.... Wait, why's he flailing at the first two pitches well out of the strike zone? Oh my god, he just bunted with 2 strikes and it went foul"Laley23;1197168 wrote:I understand not liking the DH. But you will adjust, and have a lot more fun watching your team bat.

As for the DH, i am pretty much neutral...it doesn't bother me either way.

No. It is much more fun for me when a pitcher is able to smack a base hit....like Cueto just did.Laley23;1197168 wrote:I understand not liking the DH. But you will adjust, and have a lot more fun watching your team bat.

I think it's funny that I'm one of the few AL guys that doesn't like the DH.
It's probably because I am old and remember watching and listening to the game in its pure form.

Ok. so youve only had fun twice when Cueto is up to bat this year. Poor odds.sherm03;1197175 wrote:No. It is much more fun for me when a pitcher is able to smack a base hit....like Cueto just did.

That does nothing for me. I am angered when teams sacrifice. Giving up an out, when the odds say its the wrong play. So stupid.justincredible;1197186 wrote:Cueto also leads (or is close to the lead) in sacrifices.

And is also one of the best at laying down a SAC bunt.hoops23;1197177 wrote:lol.. He's 2/21
There's just so much more that goes into the strategy of the game when you have a pitcher batting. When you go by playground rules and have an "all-time hitter," it takes all that strategy out.
