I'm driving up tomorrow for the game. I hope Jeanmar can get himself together.

Ok, I'm a dumbass. That's probably what they said "16/14 changed to 15/15" but there will still be an IL series all year as ts1227 mentioned.

That is one idea they are tinkering with after Houston moves next year. There are rumors that they may end up with just the AL and NL, and the top X amount of teams make the postseason. Balanced schedule and all.

That's going to seem weird with Houston in the AL. I kinda like the idea of no divisions. That's interesting.

I hope they do. I would be more ok with the 5 playoff teams in a no division format.

Seems like it had been talked about. It may not start that way at the beginning but I dont see why not. Balanced schedule gives the best snapshot of who are the better teams and not a victim, or beneficiary, of a tough or easy division.

Didn't they vote on getting rid of divisions or something? I know the discussion got pretty far along.

That is absolutely incredible that someone would keep a player in the lineup that strikes out more than 200 times.

By the way..what's with the series thread bulllllllshit?

a) do indians fans not get enough convo going to do individual games?

b) do you realize that justin gets more money by having multiple threads rather than a 3 pack?

c) Reds are gonna kill the indians?

That sentence didn't make sense Con...but I know what you mean...and I assume it's only better to have 3 separate threads w/ 100 posts each than 1 thread w/ 300 posts. But I could be wrong.

Why not continue the thread after the game is over and leads into the next? Winning series is the approach, albeit one game at a time.

Why not just designate one thread per game? Especially when you're generally at or above 100 posts per game?

I'd rather have one thread for the whole series. In my opinion it's easier to carry on discussions that overlap multiple games, and easier to follow for those just observing posts. I didn't know the number of threads contributed to profit, though. I suppose that changes things.

..because it doesn't change anything. What does it matter....100 posts or 500 posts? I guess it's just preference. It's easy to go back and catch up on the people's thoughts on the series without looking for another thread.

I like the series idea. It's been working well all year with the Indians posters.

1. Why do reds fans do single game threads? ;)
but seriously we have been doing the series threads since beginning of last year. It's just easier to follow than individual game threads.

So Indians fans go back in the thread to gather up people's general thoughts on the series?

The game thread yesterday was 9 pages long...the Indians series thread was 3 pages long. That's why.

What does that matter? The last page doesn't have to be searched for on a multi-game thread..

A) It's more organized, and it is part of our superstition. I remember last year Reds fans made their own thread lol.
