Miamis guys outside the big 3 are nowhere near that of OKC. But, in this series they have been better. I admit that. But not this season, and not coming into this series.
exactly. which is why I asked if they were choking? Harden has been dreadful and I thought Ibaka and Perkins would help keep the Heat out of the lane some.

Mike Miller is not healthy. He cannot contribute to this Heat team. THAT is the only thing that matters. That is the point.

It's not a hypothetical Heat team. It's a real life team. The Heat are what they are. Mike Miller is not healthy. It is what it is.
I'll agree with the way you put that.

Westbrook shot 20-32....thats pretty damn good.

Also from what I remember, most of his forces where when the shot clock was running down (nobody could get open)

No team needs a pg shooting 32 fucking times. And your memory is failing you, he forced shots with no time off the clock when they were up/down .. Didn't matter. That's his game. Shoot the lights out and hope I make it. It's hard to get open when you ran off 7 seconds before your pg shot it without 1 pass

It's the only way to talk about it.

Hell if the Lakers still had a mentally healthy Odom, they win it this year.

^That statement is basically what you are saying.

karen lotz;1205768 wrote:Not sure what point you are trying to make. On paper, okc's others are better than Miami's. So far in the series, Miami's others have made bigger contributions. That's it.
Miami's #1 is better than OKC's #1, although they are the top 2 players in the NBA.
Miami's #2 is better than OKC's #2, although very close.
Miami's #3, in this series, has owned the hell out of OKC's #3.

Even if you call those 3 a wash, and IMO, the Miami "big 3" have earned far more respect for achievements and experience than OKC's, can you honestly breakdown the rest of the players and tell me who you would rather have? Miami's downfall is age and health. If their "others", Miller, Haslem and Battier can get out there, all of them have been very good NBA players. Throw in Chalmers and Cole, give me Miami's roster any day. Maybe not next year, or in 3 years, but right now? Like I said in a previous post, OKC has other pieces who could help but aren't being used.

How does Daequan Cook not get a minute? Derek Fisher played 22 minutes. Sefolosha, nobody talks about him, but he's out there all the time and for the most part, is awful.

They can't do that because one is guarding Bosh and the other Battier, who are drawing them away from the bucket, good move by coach Spoelstra.

Don't talk about ROBJ like that he is a smart smart smart man. He is a basketball guru.

Okc lost this game more than Miami won it. That said Miami deserves the title. If okc comes back then good on them. But Miami is making the plays and taking advantage of okc's many mistakes which is deserving of a win.

If the Cavs still had LBJ and paired him with Kyrie, they'd be in the Finals.

I wasn't looking at it like that, I was looking on paper, the way the roster is constructed.

I get this as well. I can't see Chicago ever winning anything with Rose and he is great. Iverson was great, although he didn't have much help either.

I mean both this and my statement are pretty far out there, but that is what he is arguing.

The Heat do NOT have a healthy Mike Miller. The Cavs don't have Bron and Kyrie. The Lakers don't have Odom.

Their roster does not include a healthy Mike Miller. So yes, you are making up players.

Fwiw the sting of LBJ leaving will never go away but too many fans on this board are letting it cloud their judgement.

I think if the Lakers had 1985 Magic Johnson to go along with Kobe...they would have a shot.

I never said I was, but compared to you that's not saying much.
