Just wanted to open up some discussion to see what would get people more active on here. I can't offer a pony to everyone that posts but I have tossed around the idea of doing $10 giftcard drawings every month based on creating threads that generate a decent amount of discussion. Any other ideas? Again, please be serious.

The only complaint I have is the unnecessary posting of sluts in non-slut threads. I can't read the GOAT voting threads at work because morons keep posting sluts in there.

Enforce NSFW titles on threads and I'd be more prone to post more during daytime hours.

and I'm with the guy below -- prizes aren't going to help, only more users.

To be honest, just more active members. I know, you are trying to get people to be more active but I think many would if there was just more people routinely posting other than the same losers, present company included.

I usually am off for 3-4 days at a time and come back and can catch up within minutes.


I dont think gifts really would help.

So, I have no real ideas really.

Better threads, different OC personalities posting.

It's sort of a catch-22 because new posters bring new, exciting content, but at the same time exciting content brings posters.

I agree with the bolded. I don't mind photo threads of hot chicks wearing little clothing, but I can't have that at work in a random thread.

I will post ideas to generate discussion at a later date.

Curtailing the bs that is spread from the likes of Sleeper, Jordo, Skyhook etc.. I dont even bother starting threads here when I know Sleeper is just going to turn it into an anti ND, only in the SEC, I'm 25 own mcdonalds and bang 22 yr olds, poor people are stupid etc thread.

Job blocked it and I was really busy for awhile, but I'm getting a new job this month, so that will hopefully help.

Oh, if you paid the mods, I would be here as often as possible. ;)

Imo more people would post if the rules were actually enforced. I am still seeing the same crap that went on before the big rant about following the rules. Mods really need to do the job they were put in the position to do. I know I am an ass towards the mods but they really don't do the job they are suppose to be doing. The ones that do get attacked for doing their job. I dont think contests or giving things away free will help.

I don't disagree with him 100%. I have noticed some posts that we've missed. But for the most part most people are following the rules.

While I admire your bending over backward to be fair, there are a small number of posters (less than 5) that the site would be better off without. Lose 'em. Screw "basement bans" and suspensions, gone.

Maybe you could start charging a flat-fee to use the site...maybe $12 a year (that's $0.99 a day!)...and then give us a subscription to a random magazine that nobody will read.

Then you could add random in-line advertising all over the place, and write useless articles for the homepage.

To many threads get off topic because of certain posters. I really only come here for a couple threads or if I'm bored because there are to many pointless posts in each thread. I don't wanna read 25 posts for the 7-8 good ones. If your not a fan of the buckeyes browns reds or Indians you might as well not try to start a topic about your team bc it will be filled with bs. Even a bengals thread is filled mostly with browns fans saying you can't sell tickets blah blah blah
