They could still move on if they tie here, beat Portugal, and Denmark loses to Germany. Technically I guess they would also move on with a loss here, a win versus Portugal, a Denmark loss to Germany, and goals scored in their favor.

Ballgame .. Dutch not quite done yet (as mentioned) but they need a win vs Portugal by 2+ and a Denmark loss. Then they should advance on goal differential as Portugal, Denmark and Netherlands would all have 3 points.

Looks like I'll be 0-2.
I did the same lol. I was really hoping for Denmark to win today though. Maybe they can at least tie Germany and have the Dutch beat Portugal to move on.

That won't work. Danes would have 4 and Dutch 3. Dutch need a big win and a big german win.

Not even a big German win ... any German win would do (I think). Since, in the situation where Portugal, Netherlands, Denmark tie with three points, goal differential in games between those teams would be the first tiebreaker. Netherlands win by 2+, they own the tiebreaker over both Denmark (goal differential = 0) and Portugal (in that situation, would have a goal differential = -1).

If Germany wins .. and the Dutch win by only 1 .. then it goes to the second tiebreaker, goals scored against tied teams, since all three would have goal differentials = 0 in games played between the three teams. At that point it would be Portugal because they're +3 on Holland in that department going in.

Haha I was saying that for the Danes to move on... guess my post was a little confusing...the Dutch are done so I want Denmark to move on :P.

Or... Portugal could beat the Dutch and the Danes upset the Germans to send the Germans and Dutch packing. (Given the goal differentials work out)

It's the Group of Death for a reason.

Good matchup here between Croatia/Italy!

Germany looked strong yesterday. I expect Spain to take the afternoon game.

Italy has been surprisingly impressive. Going to be a battle to get out of that group.

Not really surprising. They are one of those countries that normally just reloads. I expect them to win all the time. This team however is a lot younger and more aggressive than other Italian teams I remember.

Maybe 20 yards out, just outside the box to the left of the goalkeeper. Went between the heads of two guys in the wall and curled into the near side of the goal.

2nd time the Italians have taken the lead, only to relax after taking the lead. It's going to cost them 2nd round qualification.
