For the father it is one thing to know you are going to lose your own life in this accident, but knowing two of your sons are going to die right along with you would be overwhelming.

I had a dream last night my two yr old son drowned. He looked at me, jumped, then stared at me w no expression as he sank and i tried to save him. I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose a child.

Cows always swam pretty good in our manure pit. I can't imagine it is easy for a human, espcially if you are trying to save someone that fell in that you may have to dive for. Very sad that somehow all three are lost.

The story almost seemed hoaxed at the beginning (from the link). But yeah, that's a shitty story all around (no pun intended). I'm guessing one of the boys fell in...dad jumped in...then the other brother went in after both of them.

I wonder what it's like trying to swim in that? Like quicksand maybe? I thought maybe Mythbusters did quicksand once and while you can't get yourself out, you don't necessarily sink under. Not sure, struggling might dig you in more, but Bear Grylls showed once you can extract yourself from quicksand if you know what you're doing (and maybe in great shape).
