An arrested woman reportedly kicked and spit blood at police officers and a nurse while being taken into a hospital.

Tiffany L. Pocock, 27, of 309H Brinker St., Apt. 18, Bellevue, reportedly became upset early Thursday morning when she was arrested at a Southwest Street residence and started yelling about getting to a doctor's appointment. Bellevue police also said it took two officers to get her into the back of a cruiser and once inside, Pocock hit her head multiple times on the door and the interior glass.
Officer Tyi McCarley reported he used his cell phone to record Pocock after she hit her head three or four times inside the cruiser and "she continued to yell" for the majority of the trip between Southwest Street and The Bellevue Hospital on U.S. 20.

"When I entered the hospital property, she was hitting her head again so I sped up and began to take the turns quickly to keep her from being able to strike her head," McCarley wrote in his report.
As three officers escorted Pocock to the emergency room, "she began to fight," so McCarley said he grabbed the woman's legs to help get Pocock strapped into a bed.

"While we were carrying her, she began to spit blood at me. I was hit in the face with the bloody spit along with an emergency room nurse. (Pocock) made an attempt to spit a second time and Officer (Frank) Gleason covered her mouth," wrote McCarley, who later was admitted and had his blood drawn "as a base line for any infections."
Police originally responded to a Southwest Street domestic dispute complaint at 1:45 a.m.

A man reported Pocock came there uninvited, but Pocock said the man "begged her to come over" because he "wanted to have 'quickie sex' with her and she wouldn't," Officer Joshua Pickens said in his report. The man accused Pocock of "slamming her head on the patio furniture" before police arrived.

Officers said they found a half empty bottle of Black Velvet in the center console of the van police had seen Pocock driving recently. Pickens reported Pocock admitted to driving the van and "she had been drinking alcohol."

While searching the Southwest Street premises, Pickens said he used his flashlight and found Pocock hiding under a swingset on the north side of the residence.
After Pocock was cleared from the hospital, she submitted to a breath test at the police station. Officers said Pocock's blood alcohol content level tested at .147; the legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08.
Pocock was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and two felony counts of assault. Police transported her to the Sandusky County Jail.
