Aren't we kind of profiling these dogs?

I mean isn't it wrong to think that every black guy with sagging jeans is going to mug, rape, and murder you? Isn't wrong to think that every Arabic man with a turban going to blow himself up in the local mall?

Yes, pitbulls may be more aggressive, but the ultimate decision on their temperament is the way they're raised. I had a poodle/lhasa apso mix who was a complete ass hole because my he was supposed to me my responsibility and didn't know what the hell what to do.

My father in law has had a lot of big dogs, but he puts them through boot camp basically, and the dog doesn't even lick you w/o permission. Pit bulls are cheap, so poor, ghetto people buy them and don't take care of them.

I have a bichon, which I bought for my wife for her birthday a few years ago. Personality/temperament wise, you couldn't ask for a more loving, gentle, dog. The breeder I bought her from took excellent care of the dogs, and we trained her well. I guarantee, if she came from a puppy mill and put with some "ghetto" people who didn't give a shit, she'd be much more aggressive.

big deal this dog's a grouch, so what. pit bulls are killers, they wag their tails, they lick your hand, they tear baby's heads off. The dogs mentioned above were not fighting dogs, not trained to be vicious, they just followed their instincts.

I'll add. I sat down and thought about it. I know of 10 pit bulls that friends and family have. Nobody has ever had a problem with them. They must be the exception and not the rule though.

Like the cat that attacked my wife? Again, how many of those kids were left with the animal unattended? We should probably ban buckets of water, because I've heard/seen where babies fell in when their parents left them unattended.

I hope their luck stands but it is like playing Russian roulette. the dogs are killers. And the abuse argument does not hold water as you look at these cases.

lets blame the victims. in one sense the families deserve a portion of the blame for bringing a known killers into their home.

Keep dodging the question that any animal has the potential to kill a baby. Yes, the families are to blame because they aren't keeping an eye on their children.

I've seen where babies have drowned in buckets of water/ or bathtubs because they were left unattended. Who's fault is it? The bucket of water?

How about when a child is accidently killed by a gun? Is it the guns fault? or Is it the parents' fault for not take the proper steps to ensure the child's safety?

When you have young children who are infants or too young to understand that a dog is an animal and not a tug toy, then you need to keep an eye on them whether it's a pitt or a kitten.

This is a case from 2009 in Florida, guy living with his girlfriend and her 2 year old daughter. the idiot has a 9' long python. one night the snake gets out of its aquarium and kills the kid. on the 911

The snake wasn't stupid of course it was just being constrictor.

I'm not going to disagree with that because I know they are a more aggressive breed by nature. I would put pitt bulls, rots, and boxers in the same category. Proper training and monitoring will fix a lot of these problems.

how do we define bad owners. with most of these cases there is no sign that the dogs were dangerous, until the kids are killed.
