Some thoughts...Most Tribe hitters squandered the opportunity to get to Danks early, by swinging at sh*t pitches early in the count.....as contrasted to Santana who worked Sox hurlers for good pitches to hit ALL NITE.
Santana's AB's...
1) Walk
2) Walk
3) 3-2 count ...double
4) 3-2 count ...single
5) 3-2 count... fly out to warning track.

For those who care....Alex White was called up and made his first start of the season. 6 and a third innings...2 runs both earned, 6 hits, 2 walks, and 5 K's.

^^^Yeah. It's no secret that a lot of people still question the trade, and you'll always compare beause of it's magnitude. people still talk about the Lee trade. Heck, they still talk about the Colon trade.

A lot of people care. A lot of people are still pissed. And it's not beyond the scope of reality that this trade will cost us a playoff bid this season...or even a championship.grodt;1165901 wrote:No one cares.
Right now, the tribe is short 2 good pitchers on a really good staff. When Wheeler or Sipp gets the ball, tribe fans' dicks go limp.

There is no way for us to know that. We might not make the playoffs for a hundred different reasons. There is a 0% chance that this is the sole reason we miss the playoffs. Move on. You just seem petty at this point. You'll notice that when you post an irrelevant Pomeranz/White stat that no one on here cares. So sure, there might be "a lot" of people that still care, but they're not here. Spare us.Footwedge;1166215 wrote:A lot of people care. A lot of people are still pissed. As for the second part, are you suggesting that Pomeranz and White would make us a "really good staff." Really, we'd still need 1 other guy and we'd still be relying on two rookies for a playoff push. Not sure where Wheeler or Sipp come in to the picture. Neither Pomeranz nor White were going in to the bullpen so those two would still be there most likely.

Glad Brantley is hitting the ball hard finally, but that is twice in the last two games he lined into a double play.

Alright, they should have caught on by now the strike zone is a little more high and outside and should stop watching those strikes.

Looking at the career stats of White and Pom, I fail to see how they would win us a WS.Footwedge;1166215 wrote:A lot of people care. A lot of people are still pissed. And it's not beyond the scope of reality that this trade will cost us a playoff bid this season...or even a championship.

duh...again.We might not make the playoffs for a hundred different reasons.
Idiotic statement. You don't know what will happen. There is a 0% chance that this is the sole reason we miss the playoffs.
If nobody cares, then why do you and others keep responding? If you don't like my bitching about the trade...then don't read it. Or else...you move on. Actually, you need to let it go....not me. Don't like my comments? Then put me on ignore. This is a message board for tribe fans. Deal with it.You'll notice that when you post an irrelevant Pomeranz/White stat that no one on here cares.
It's a long season. Given the injury problems that we've had, the deeper the staff is...the better. You act as if people can't be rotated from starter to reliever. Ot happens all the time.As for the second part, are you suggesting that Pomeranz and White would make us a "really good staff." Really, we'd still need 1 other guy and we'd still be relying on two rookies for a playoff push. Not sure where Wheeler or Sipp come in to the picture. Look up the definition of "not beyond the scope of possibilty" and then rephrase your first statement. It makes no sense...in responding to what I stated.hoops23;1166319 wrote:Looking at the career stats of White and Pom, I fail to see how they would win us a WS.
