Extremely good 6 hour miniseries. Dont know if I have seen very man other docudrama's on regular cable that was this good. I wish it would have been a bit longer but I imagine they figured if they made it too long it may have turned off people.

It got kinda sad there on that last hanging......"the hatfields and mccoys are famous. Famous for what? For killing eachother".

ANyone know how long it went from the desertion and first killing until that hanging?

Was it just me or did they run through the last part too quick and not enough time to really read what they put on the screen about what happaned to them?

Real life, the first murder happened in 1865 (Asa Harmon McCoy, a former Union soldier), and the hanging took place in 1890.

Not just you - I was struggling to read all the words on the screen and I'm typically a quick reader.

Thanks. 25 years is a l o n g for that to go on.

I was like WTF in reading that. I wanted to read it slowly to be able to take it all in but it zipped by.

I kinda liked that second McCoy that JOnesy or however you spell it married. I think she was kinda hot

Over 13 milion viewers the first two nights. Pretty damned good for a show on cable.
