We basically got the 4th round pick back when we traded down in the 3rd round.

My god.
We didn't trade him for a 5th and 7th...just because we made up the 4th round pick in another trade doesn't mean we didn't get the 4th rounder for him lol

We just didn't have 2 4th round picks like we should have.

I agree, especially since Weeden is not going to be as good as Brees.

We still had 2 4th rounders dip shit. Your not even a true browns fan. All you do is bitch. What real fan says they would rather go 2-14 than 7-9

lol this. We got our guy. Those picks likely wouldn't have made the team anyway.

Also, what makes you think it is your place to tell somebody if they are a true fan or not?

How the fuck did we draft Travis Benjamin and James-Michael Johnson if we didn't have two 4th round picks?

Because we would have had 3 4th round picks if we didn't get fleeced by Minnesota

James Michael Johnson and Benjamin are expected to do good things for this team, this year. Imagine if we could have gotten another one of those players on our depleted roster.

lol. Minny did not fleece us. You're saying this because you hate our draft. The Browns weren't willing to let another team move up to #3 and they made the aggressive move to assure they got Trent, a guy who will help this offense more than a WR will, especially in Cleveland.

Getting Fleeced would have been giving up our 2nd round and next years 1st and 4th rounders.

Giving up a 4th, 5th, and 7th is not a fleecing.

They're not expected to do anything. They suck.

If the Bengals drafted them, they would be good, but unfortunately, the Browns drafted them.

Not only that, but we had ammo. 13 rookies are not making this squad, hell our 11 aren't making this squad.

right, but that is why i am puzzled as to why they didn't trade up a couple times. Of course, that is assuming they didn't try, but couldn't find a partner.

Exactly. No matter the team, there are players drafted, especially in the 6th and 7th rounds that won't make the squad. Hell, there are times when the 5th rounders don't make it.

Me too, esp in the second/3rd when decent WRs were available. Puzzling.

Or in the Browns case, 2nd rounders. David Fucking Veikune. SMH.

And if Kendall Wright was their guy, I don't like that they didn't use some of that ammo that they def had to move up and grab him. With that being said, I was never a fan of him, but I would have rather them get their guy...like they did with Trich

Getting Fleeced would have been giving up our 2nd round and next years 1st and 4th rounders.

Giving up a 4th, 5th, and 7th is not a fleecing.
A few days ago, CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman, writing on the draft trade that allowed the Browns to switch first-round spots with Vikings by giving up three later draft picks, said that Cleveland “bought what the Vikings were cooking and suckers were born.”

The reason for the trade in the first place was so that the Browns could be assured that Alabama running back Trent Richardson would be available for them to take, and Freeman hears that that the Vikings were bluffing about other teams' interest in moving into their No. 3 spot.

Wrote Freeman: “Cleveland was convinced at least several teams were prepared to leap them when by all accounts that wasn't going to happen. Even one day later, some teams around the league remain totally perplexed at the Browns giving up three picks to move one spot when they didn't have to.”

Lol Benjamin is definitely expected to be pretty good. He was "our answer" at WR by this regime.

JMJ I'm actually expecting big things because I think he was a steal and a good pick.

It's not a fleece. Heckert said he felt some team would try to move up to #3. We all know how much Tampa loved Trent. I'm sure there were some others as well.

Regardless, the Browns didn't take the chance to lose him. I have no problem with that.

Again, we have up a 4th, 5th, and 7th... Basically got the 4th back.... You're trying to hard.
