Most of the Euros we know are very cool...they may have bought in to the "emperor without clothes" thing with our current POTUS but they are willing to listen to reason, and even if we disagree we do it in a civil manner. And they are incredibly (if not embarrassingly) politically incorrect.k

The Chinese? That's a tough nut to crack. It is a tough insular culture.

Well this is what I was explained about the Filipinos when I was on deployment. Every single country we visited they had Filipinos there working pretty crappy jobs. They seem to like to be ladies of the night. They go to all kinds of different countries to work to make money for their families. They are like the Mexicans of the world. They'll do any kind of work to make money. I was in Manila also and it's crazy cheap to live there in a decent place. Also a lot of Filipinos join the Navy A LOT and they send all their money back to the Philippines.

Fuck, I housesit for people on the side. 30$ a night to stay at their place. 10$ for every additional pet (not counting stupid ones like fish and birds).

I had $13,000 between 2 cards around tax time. But that includes my Masters. Until I'm done with my Masters, it will be impossible to get my CC's down to zero.

On my business card its gotten up there ...

My personal card .. credit/debit card (if the money not in the checking account the card doesn't get used) I have put $15,000 into the account when we when to Australian with the intention of spending it (we spent less than half)</SPAN>

Sure, but when did you get the card? Seems like if you applied now, it would be hard to get that kind of limit. They used to give high limit cards out like candy. Not sure much anymore.

They've been rolling back limits for several years now. It's tough.

Can he get me a 4.25% interest rate on an investment property? If so he's one helluva lawyer. I can't even refi without posting 300 large collateral. If I had 300 grand liquid I wouldn't be looking to refi. We're in the donut hole, we aren't poor enough to qualify for any type of government program, and we aren't Bill Gates. We're in the screwed category - banks love us because we pay what we owe but we're about 200 basis points above the government "bailout" rate.

Same. We keep looking at options to refi to take advantage of the rates, but we're too rich to get any sort of handout/help. We're half-tempted to buy a comparable house at a comparable price in the area to take advantage of the low interest rates, as it's much easier to buy new and get them than to refi without equity.

I think 25k is the highest a person can have for a credit limit or a regular card these days. The max to start out is usually only 5000. Then again just be a millionaire and get a black card.
