Votto got away with another poor base-running play on Rolen's bloop that made it just barely over Espinosa with just one out. His excitement over knocking in those two big runs made him lose sight of baseball fundamentals!gerb131;1144681 wrote:And Rolen singles scores Votto.

Sorry I didn't catch on to the sarcasm! I never knew that a lot of periods was an indicator of sarcasm????Rotinaj;1144684 wrote:I should of added more periods. Also Votto and Rolen doin work!! Can we pleaseeeee just get this win.

Marty says Votto went for the sure force out -- looked pretty risky to me! When he started to throw that way I envisioned a throw into LF! I would have thought the play would be to keep the tying run off of 1B.

Great play to Votto there to end the game! Just reflexes with no decisions to be made wrongly!

Are you sure Votto didn't lose sight of his baseball fundamentals from knocking in those 2 runs? lolmhs95_06;1144698 wrote:Great play to Votto there to end the game! Just reflexes with no decisions to be made wrongly!

His loss of sight continued thru his try for the force out at 2nd, then hopefully the clouding of his decisions ended after that. But, we'll have to see as this week's games play out! But after that it may have to be attributed to just not thinking well in the heat of the play!SportsAndLady;1144701 wrote:Are you sure Votto didn't lose sight of his baseball fundamentals from knocking in those 2 runs? lol

Pretty sure mhs must have played in the major leagues. He could find something wrong with turning an unassisted triple play.
I think they're big leaguers for a reason...

From Grantland's Jonah Keri: "Chapman year to date 8 IP, 0 R, 15 K. Brandon Belt not starting is annoying. Chapman not starting is grounds for an Interpol investigation"
