Stubbs in benched!

Phillips is back.

Is a crooked number possible???

2 teams in MLB are off to a worse start....and both were expected to be bottom dwellers.

Sounds good to me. What's the lineup? Heisey in center, Ludwick in left?

I like seeing Heisey get a shot at a lefty. That's something they need to figure out this year, he needs a fair shot.

Those four runs should be charged to the ump, not the P!

Scored more runs in this inning than how many prior games?

Same number of runs as the last three games combined.

There were a few HORRIBLE calls from the umpire that led up to that. But I'll take the breaks any way the Reds can get them.

The strange thing was Votto was called out on a pitch out of the zone. The ump must have realized he screwed up then he really tightened up to Bruce and Ludwick.

No patience at the plate in the second inning. They did a great job making Detwiler throw a ton of pitches in the first. And then went up hacking away early in the AB in the second.

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing a "4" on the scoreboard. But it's still only on 2 hits. I want to see them buckle down and start getting solid hits.

I agree. The human umpire causes a lot of unfairness, and I don't see why they don't just give the ball and strike calls to technology!

Mike Leake will be the Reds next Gold Glove pitcher. What a play to start the turn of the 2nd inning ending DP.

Bruce got burned trying to take a peek to decide where to throw the ball once he got it as it was taking the bounce!

No harm done. That line drive was scoring two anyways.

If it didn't happen the one out ground ball would have been an inning ending DP with a 5-2 score!

Probably not. Looked to me like Bruce was looking at trying to gun down the runner at third. Would have still let LaRoche get to second...and may not have gotten the runner at third. So they would have been in the same scenario.

Bruce is always good for several of those bonehead plays a year.

Should have put BP on the DL in the first place.

Another reason why Votto and Bruce should be batting #3 and #4. A pitcher should never want to walk the #3 batter to get to the clean-up guy. But when you have Rolen batting clean-up behind Votto instead of Bruce, there's no fear.

Rolen K's to end the inning with the bases loaded.

Fuck you Dusty!

I think he was deciding between 2nd and home. I don't think the runner got a good jump off 2nd. If he was going to 3rd, that would have been mentally boneheaded, rather than a physical error.

Dusty not going to fall for the same thing he did on the Nady HR. Brings a righty in to face a lefty PH, after the PH already announced. Davey has Dusty's number!

Why does Hanigan go so far in front of the plate to get the ball - let it come deeper so can reach far enough for the tag once you get it. Of course he didn't make a clean catch on either throw, but he needs to not go out after it so much!
