I'd like to see you heal cancer, AIDS(how's that working for the 1000's who die everyday in Africa? Thanks Pope!), etc. Headache? Your body would eventually heal that by itself anyway or do you not know how headaches form and how the body works to correct it? Scientology is no more cult like than any other religion. They need more money to catch up with the trillions in wealth other established cults(ahem, religions) have. Sorry for speaking in generalities, you can find the exception to anything. Painting things with a broad brush is the only way to have a rational logical discussion, because like I said anyone can find an exception to anything. My apologies for using the general rule and not the exception to make a valid point. How does it feel to not have an understanding how basic human interaction and discussion takes place?

How do you know it didn't help it? You called me a hypocrite because I may pray the next time I get sick. Well what's my alternative? Doctor, pharmacy? Never use either one. Good point. Buddhism has almost nothing to do with monotheistic religions. They are definitely not the same person, and neither are Muhammad or Jesus. That something is called the human body. I personally call BS on never going to a doctor or pharmacy. Great. The placebo affect is a delusional trick, much the same as religion. I'm a big believer that there's a stronger mind/body connection than we think and that a person with an optimistic outlook and strong resolve can help the body fight off illness better than someone who is pessimistic and has a weaker resolve.
I suppose it's conceivable that praying helps strengthen people's resolve while remaining optimistic and if you assume the truth of my first statement that COULD help to possibly some extent on a small scale.
That being said, I think organized religion is absurd but there's nothing wrong with faith. And science/medicine most definitely trump religion.
