My ticket plan partner has our pair of tix today...so I'll be catching the game on the tube.

Go Tribe. Masterson will have to be good today since we know our Tribe can't hit lefties.

I am predicting a loss today and then winning Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully I am wrong so everybody can heading down to the Prog can enjoy an opening day win.

Just curious, why do we open up today, then take a day off, then play the rest of the games? This opening day scheduling makes no sense to me at all.

Seems like the Tribe does this every year. Opening Day, day off, rest of series. It is very peculiar having the season start on a Thursday, taking Friday, which is a prime day/night, off and then finishing.

that makes no sense. so if it rains, why wouldnt they treat it like every other game? or they should play thurs/fri/sat and leave sunday off for easter or possible rain out.

My guess is because opening day is the one day where most teams sell out their stadium.

Because its OPENING DAY! basically, if it rains out, the tickets are still good. Not the case for a typical rainout. You need the 2nd day for rain to make the opening day thing still matter, especially with tickets. Otherwise, it becomes a big hassle. It makes sense, from a business standpoint. Its just stupid from a fans standpoint.
