I wouldn't last long because I'd actually try to change things so I'm sure I'd be fired/shot.sleeper;1132171 wrote:Correct. You'd make an outstanding chairman of the Fed.

20 spot here. Hopefully I'll do better than the last time I did this a few years ago when I ended up with like 3 numbers...total out of 20 tickets. Think the best I've ever done (and I rarely play, usually only when it heads north of $100M) was like 2 plus a powerball worth @ $3.
Best justification I ever heard though was a friend who claimed the $20 was well worth the entertainment he got out of fantasizing about winning that much money.

Dropped $10 a couple hours ago; fist time I've ever bought a lotto ticket. Person told me they had sold 1000 so far by this afternoon.

It sucks that the numbers have to be in the exact order.
I know I have the right numbers...just may not have put them in order how they want them...

What? All my numbers go from low to high. I don't believe they need to match up as they come out.

The first ball has to be the first number on the ticket, the second ball the second number...and so forth.oberhaus;1132306 wrote:What? All my numbers go from low to high. I don't believe they need to match up as they come out.
So, if you match the first, third, and fifth balls, then you match three balls and win $150 or whatever the pot is.
You don't win if your first, second, and fourth numbers match the first, third, and fifth balls.

Wow. I had no idea how much money the states actually made on this. $800M for this drawing alone (not to mention prior ones where no winner was paid). Of course, the stores get their cut, too. But assuming it pays out a lump sum, then we're talking over $1B in profit just for this week's alone.chicago510;1132317 wrote:$1.5 billion bet towards todays jackpot and a 94% chance someone will win. Gotta love the poor tax!
