I wasn't a huge Bush fan after his 1st term but at least most of his time was spent in Crawford Texas. It has nothing to do with going on vacation and it's not just about people not liking Obama. I agree it's petty compared to getting rid of Obama care but it's a big deal in other ways.
I see the point you are making, however to compare Bush's vacations (he took more vacation time than any other president in history) to Obama's and Obama's family is a little unfair. When Bush was elected, his children were not living at home anymore and they were at the age where family vacations didn't occur as often. Obama's children are still young, so they go on vacation more often as a family than Bush and other presidents have in the past I'm sure.
I know that the president isn't on vacation with his daughter, but it's not a big deal that his daughter is on vacation. If he wasn't the president, I'm sure his daughter would still be on this vacation, she just wouldn't have a Secret Service detail with her because she then wouldn't be the president's daughter and not nearly a big of a target. The Obama's are well-off and I don't find this any different than any other well-off family in the US.
