So apparently that last play was designed to specifically send Syracuse to the Elite Eight.
As everyone else here seems to agree, that was one of the worst end-game demonstrations of all-time.
Congrats to the Orangemen. It's been quite a year in central New York.

And all 3 losses would have come at the hands of the Big East. I don't think all 3 B1G teams lose tonight though.

Izzo is a hell of a coach, but I'd also like to see Pitino get to another Final Four. He's one of the game's true greats, and, had he stayed at UK and said no to the excesses of the NBA, Pitino would already have over 800 wins by now and rings adorning several fingers.
Pitino versus Donovan in the regional final would be a pretty intriguing mentor-pupil duel.

Does picking Louisville to go the national championship last year still count? Stupid Louisville, a year late damn it. With Duke bowing out prematurely (or perhaps maturely), that's two years that I've wildly failed.
