It looks like they were doing repairs on the ship when the season started and that the king crab quota this year was cut in half, so the owners probably saved money by selling their quota instead of fishing.

Captain Phil died and his two boys are dolts.

The Hillstrand brothers on the Time Bandit I kinda like. They are shady yahoo's but seem like good guys. Keith Colburn on the Wizard a bigger d*ckhead then JJ and Eric Frantz combined. Captain Wild Bill on the Kodiak is bad luck waiting to happen. If I had to chose one boat to be on, it would be Captain Sig Hansen and the Northwestern.

Sig does work his crew like slaves but the NW seems to be one of the safest boats.

Both of Captain Phil's "BOYS" should be on the Northwestern working for Edgar.... I'm not a big fan of Edgar but he knows how to push the right "buttons" to piss "on or off" punk egos!!!. But the job gets done....... Edgar also has Sigs buttons too!

I like Edgar. Yea, everyone gets their buttons pushed on the NW'ern after Sig keeps them up for three days straight.

Captain Wild Bill of the Kodiak is a cool dude, have enjoyed him since hes been on the show. I hope hes back on this year and I cant stand the Ramblin Rose captain, Eric Neese I think his name is, I loved it when they wouldnt catch anything.

He's the young fella, right? That's Elliot Neese.

Scott Campbell of the Seabrooke (worked through Kidney stones last season) came across as a good guy.

Very good start to the new year, its tough seeing the Harris boys on different boats, just not the same. Wild Bill in midseason form already pissed off.

Its ashame to hear about Justin Tennison dying, only 33 and had 2 kids. Fortner really took it hard after giving him a hard time last year.

And he doesn't hesitate to clear out when the conditions get really dangerous. Note there is a difference between danger and misery. :)

I believe of all the boats and captains I'd feel safest, it's Sig' and the NW'ern.
