There have aleady been two scrimmages played in Harding Stadium so I'm sure the press box is finished. Any pics? Of course, it may be too late for pics since I am going to see it next week.

I just finally got a chance to see it. Very nice. Almost finished, still some workers out there today when I stopped to see it. I like the block S in the railings.

Went to the scrimmage last evening. work was finished on the pressbox - at least from the outside.SUPER787;1247913 wrote:They were still working on the pressbox during the Lake scrimmage.

Harding Stallions 7-8th grades went at it - defense vs. offense.
Big Red scrimmaged Wheeling Park High School on all grade levels.
Some of the players reported giving up football were back; most notable was the Keenan Kid-a Jr. lineman.
The Glenn boys did indeed transfer to Toronto. The running back was good but small. The freshman brother had the potential to be a great QB for the Red. Watched him in Jr. High and he stood out on all phases of the game: hight, elusiveness, speed and accuracy.
Offensive line is big and blocked downfield well. Did not see depth at QB position. Projected starter has a very good arm, can scramble well but is not very tall. Defense looked very good with size, hitting, and speed running to the ball. Kicking game is excellent. Did not remember any motion and/or offside penalties. Let the season begin.

If we're thinking about the same Keenan, he's a Senior, and when did he give up football? From my understanding he was having some doubts about wrestling.

Charles Keenan is a junior this year. It was reported that he would forgo football this year to concentrate on wrestling. Evidently he had a change of heart because he is back to playing football.Bigred1995;1249259 wrote:If we're thinking about the same Keenan, he's a Senior, and when did he give up football? Check your 2011 roster-#60. Reno announced him before the scrimmage as #60.

I've been wrestling with this kid since he was in the 8th grade; he's the same age and grade as my nephew and that's the 12th grade!
I may have missed any announcement of him not playing football, when & where was this announcement made?

I don't know him personally, maybe the roster list is mistaken.Bigred1995;1249588 wrote:I've been wrestling with this kid since he was in the 8th grade; he's the same age and grade as my nephew and that's the 12th grade!

I am going by the 2011 roster;check it out.
It was not an announcenent about quitting football. It came from one of the booster officers.

Not much to report on the pressbox since everyone can see the outside now.
The video board is not up yet though, it will be in the blank spot.
I'll have pics of inside the pressbox after next Friday's game....as well as new pics of the whole stadium and Fieldhouse (which was also renovated).

I saw the new pressbox thru video on the WTAE news story.
Looks nice.
Doubt anyone cares now how nice the facilities are there.
Maybe that has been the problem.

They made an all-purpose interrogation room instead. This way the players they question can still be suited up and ready to play.bases_loaded;1255636 wrote:Where's the underage drinking and gang rape room?
