It looks like it's going to be a good job. I'm anxious to see it.

A few weeks.
The 4th of July celebration is at the stadium, and it will be finished by then.

Sounds great! I haven't been home for the 4th in many years. Do they have the fireworks there now?ManO'War;1192780 wrote:A few weeks.

Yes, I think last year, or the year before, was the first time, but it makes perfect sense since it has the largest seating capacity in the area and is convenient.

Toronto fireworks used to put Steubenvilles to dust . I think they lost some major sponsers though . I went a few years agao and It probably rivlaed pittsburgh or another very larg city if not better . It was unreal for such a small town .

They could add another couple sections if you ask me . As soon as they can raise the money .ManO'War;1187263 wrote:More recent pic...

They have the money, but trust me, there is more than enough room in there now for the normal games. In fact some rooms may not even be used during particular games.

I'm still wondering when they are going to replace the home seats, visitors' seats, and east end zone seats. When I was home two years ago, I watched a Central game from the new west end zone. The seats were comfortable and the view was excellent. They also need to dig out under the home seats and make the visitors' locker room bigger.

I don't see them replacing the home side for a long time.
The other two sides will probably be in the near future.

I would like to go into the press box during the first game to talk to the guys from The River. Would I be allowed in? I want to thank them for all the kindness they have shown my late father and me over the years. They have constantly mentioned that we were in Seattle and were listening to their broadcast every week. After Dad passed away, they did a nice obituary about him.
How do I get permission to talk to them?

Why go into pressbox? How about just writing a letter instead?FairwoodKing;1201952 wrote:I would like to go into the press box during the first game to talk to the guys from The River. I want to thank them face to face, and I can't do that with a letter. MY dad always got a big kick out of hearing his name announced over the computer. I am very grateful to them for doing that.holdingout;1204307 wrote:Why go into pressbox? How about just writing a letter instead?

You should probably contact the AD. He should be able to give you access or point you in the right direction.FairwoodKing;1201952 wrote:I would like to go into the press box during the first game to talk to the guys from The River. Not certain what message you are trying to evoke? You are not a fan of Fairwood King --- I assume you are passing that judgment off an anonymous internet sports forum, if so, then that is pretty childish also. Not sure how well you know him and his family.......my father and family has known his/theirs for decades.skank;1212366 wrote:Wow, I'm not a big fan of FWK, but to say that to a guy....WITH YOUR FIRST OR SECOND POST?
Goes much deeper than Ohio Chatter, and my offering was to help him right the ship which he needs sometimes (too often), and "FWK" would probably admit as such. While I genuinely do appreciate your concillatory efforts, I have been trading barbs with him for years, as have many, not just behind the keyboard.
Try not to read emotion into blogs, nor reach conclusions from an high school sports forum avatar statistical register, you will live happier.

For reference, there are several additional photos of Harding Stadium's Pressbox expansion on Steubenville High School's official Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/SteubenvilleHighSchoolOfficial

Does anybody have any updated photos? The ones on the school website are dated.
