I just think it's unreasonable to think that every device they ever announce is going to be ground breaking. I mean, I was severely let down when they didn't announce the iPhone 5 and instead hit us with the 4S but in the end I got over it because I still had a year left on my contract anyway.chicago510;1108917 wrote:I'm not saying its bad. Its not $120 better than the kindle and its definitely worth the extra $200 for the iPad. Yeah. It's small, it's heavy, it's chunky, there's no physical volume control (wtf?), the ui isn't great. Seriously though, it's not an iPad, but the for the price it's about right. The volume button (or lack thereof) really makes no difference. The UI isn't so bad, it's more a problem of being laggy sometimes.

And that $300/iPad is gross profits on direct costs. There is till a ton of indirect, fixed and overhead costs that the iPad has to pay for. But yes its obvious Apple is killing it. Look at their stock price.
