+1. I know I've harped on this a million times before, but seriously, if anyone reading this thread is thinking about law school, don't go. If you still think you want to go, send me a PM and let me talk you out of making the worst decision of your life.Quint;1106248 wrote:I have a B.S. in civil engineering and a law degree. Yes, they both helped me get an immediate job coming out of college. The economy is absolute crap right now for lawyers, so I had to be creative.

I would like to say the same thing...but if you look at any state's Department of Education job board, then the jobs are there.dwccrew;1106566 wrote:Good luck man, I have heard from many of my friends that are teachers that it is not easy right now to land a teaching gig.
Marketing for a place called Prolanthropy. They put on philanthropy events and manage foundations for pro athletes. A nice way to get into sports related industry without starting out in sales and cold calling every single day.SportsAndLady;1106590 wrote:Which job is that?

very true...unless you have like a social studies degree or something similar, those can be difficult to get a jobOSH;1107133 wrote:I would like to say the same thing...but if you look at any state's Department of Education job board, then the jobs are there.
The problem is, these teachers want a job that is in the area that they want to live in. Most of the time, it seems, they don't want to relocate to find that job that pays them. My wife is a prospective teacher, as well, and we know that it'll be hard trying to find that job where we want to live -- especially if it is based around moving for my job. It's going to be interesting in 8-9 months when I am on the job search again to see what happens. Hopefully one [or both] of us can land a job and life will be much easier.
