Would win them at least 5 extra games. It's perfectly legal to do so.

Or they could move the whole wall back 50 feet and bring back Alex Cole?

Yeah, they could make it a left handed hitters park, but it wouldn't be very aesthetic puitting a temporary fence up in the right center field gap. Moreover, it might add some home runs but take away some doubles....and the kind of hitters the tribe has, are gap shooting line drive hitters. Now if we could have picked up Carlos Pena:thumbup:....

Short fence would also mean no runners from second scoring on a single to right....with Choo 15 feet closer. Another advantage to the tribe.

As for disturbing the beauty of the layout....don't agree. The new wall would look just as purdy.....except there should be windows for the new "picnic" fans. Dolan could charge $1000 dollars for a 4 seat picnic package...between the 2 walls. Probably could fit 20 tables or more out there.

With the collection of ground ball pitchers we have..especially if somehow the old Fausto breaks out of DR prision and the amount of lazy flyballs to right our lefties hit when they are constantly off balance...this is a great idea.

Check out the dimension changers at Yankee Stadium over the years. Is it any wonder why Roger Maris hit 61 HR's in 61?

Almost all of the Yankee power hitters hit from the left side of the plate. Yanks built their team to fit the short porch in right.

Ruth, Gherig, Yogi, Bill Dickey, Pepitone. Murcer, Mattingly, Maris, Mantle, (sw), Reggie Jackson. All leftie hitters.

Yes they did....so is it time to build our field around our left handed hitters?.

Hey..I say go for it!
