No I wasn't, he asked who was the greatest fighter, and the best fighters are not boxers.

He combined many martial art styles, techniques, philosophy and made them into one called Jeet Kune Do

Movie stars don't just come around and make their own ****ing martial arts system

He was a master of martial arts, none of these mma guys are even close to his level
This is wayyyyy off

If we transplanted a living Bruce to today and let him train I'm sure he would excel. But if we just straight up took the Bruce from back then and put him up against today's fighters he would be beaten handily.
that was my point

All those saying that Bruce Lee would get destroyed by a modern MMA fighter should really do some more research on what Bruce Lee could do. He could send a 300 lb. bag flying into a wall with a sidekick. He could do pushups with his finger and thumb.

Bruce Lee would have gotten his ass kicked by even a little guy like Royce Gracie.

You have no idea what you are talking about.
Comparing Bruce Lee to Kimbo? Are you kidding me?

Bruce lee would lose in MMA because it is just that Mixed Martial Arts. in the UFC alone you have guys who are judo karate Jui jitsu muy Thai kickboxing world champions. You have national champion wrestlers as well as golden glove winners and none of them can win without a mastery of multiple disciplines.

His striking would be on par with probably anyone but how does he stop a national Champion wrestler from taking him down and holding him down or submitting him

Because he was kicking dudes asses in the street you think he would own mma fighters? Are you kidding me?

Tyson. I'm not old enough to remember most of those guys.

I dont watch much of the MMA stuff but I know those guys are badass, I still doubt many of them could trade punches with Tyson

Of course not. Do some research into what Bruce Lee's body of work consisted of in martial arts. Here is my take no Bruce Lee no MMA today.

Valid point, although I think the Gracies had more impact than Lee.

Lee did know alot of different style types but a world class wrestler could ground n pound him all day. Hell most wrestlers frist instinct upon being knocked out is to grab a leg and start a take down and thats when they dont even know where the hell they are

Now that I think about it you're on point about the Gracie's. Their history runs deep.

In a boxing match? Of course not very many could. The thing is that he would be wrecked by pretty much any MMA fighter in a MMA competition or street fight in all likelihood. The boxer vs wrestler/mma fighter thing has been done a lot. The later nearly always wins. That's why the top guys in the sport are excellent at everything.
