Why do you care? It wouldnt be the first time somebody made a sports prediction that didn't pan out. I wonder if the 26 game losing streak or awful record had anything to do with the numbers dropping? If the Cavs have a solid draft and start winning the fans will return.

Just friendly advice. Personally the delusional fans who said attendance wouldn't drop after Lebron left provided plenty of lulz.

These are the same fans who actually got their hopes up this week when Lebron said he could see himself returning to the Cavs...lol

lol, yeah...I am pretty sure no one is buying anything that Lebron is selling. Also, I am sure there were a few, but why does everyone keep saying that most of the cavs fans said attendance wouldn't drop? I can't remember hardly anyone saying that....

Thedyansty this years draft is actually no longer considered loaded. In fact most experts predict this to be one of the worst classes ever. This is mainly b/c there is virtually no overseas talent expected in this years draft. This leaves you with a top three of sullinger (will prolly be a good role player) barnes ( not a finished product but had upside) and Davis ( a freak).

I have to disagree with this.

This draft is going to be pretty solid.

You do realize the Trailblazers are the only major sports team in Portland/Oregon right?

I'm assuming this is sarcasm?

I haven't heard anybody who thinks this will be "one of the worst classes ever", and I'm not sure anybody has Sullinger in the top 3.

The prediction that attendance wouldn't drop was idiotic. Attendance will increase as the team improves, but it will never be at the Lebron era numbers. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm Ok with that. According to ESPN the Cavs are averaging about 16,000 a game. I'll take that when you compare it to where they were before Bron.

I remember going to games in the Ricky Davis era and being apart of raucous crowds of under 10k...

A total rebuild and the Cavs are averaging 16K? That's fine with me. There were some people who thought attendance wouldn't drop, but there were also some who said it'd drop to how it was in the 90's and early 2000's...

Exactly. That was a horrible time to be a Cavs fan. Having to watch guys like Lamond Murray, Bobby Sura, Antonio Lang, Brevin Knight, Andrew Declerq etc...

I can remember being at games in the upper bowl and having ushers telling us to move down to the lower sections. That stuff doesnt happen anymore. I dont know if the Cavs will ever get back to the crowds of the Bron era but they're certainly on the right track

Yes there were but most of them (to my memory) said it would get to those levels (90's early 2000's) after 2-3 years of losing not after 1 year. I was in the camp of the attendance dropping significantly this year which it has. They have had 3-4 nights in the 12 to 13k range and that is not a good sign.

Not a good sign? Why not? Are the Cavs going to fold?

Stop trolling and just talk basketball for once. The Cavs attendance has dropped, but it's not that bad... They averaged a shade over 16K and have had some games over 17 and 18K as well...

It's not hurting Dan Gilbert nor the Cavs. They expected a drop off. Dan Gilbert has a couple of casino's opening up soon and he's already a billionaire... I think he's fine with 5K not showing up nightly.

This draft is going to be loaded...far better than last year's draft. Sullinger in the top 3? He might not even go in the lottery...lots of players with booming stock who could move ahead of Jared. Even more if some guys don't stay back like many did a year ago.

It has dropped about 25% in a year that is not good. It has nothing to do with whether Gilbert needs the money or not, he obviously doesn't, it has to do with the loyalty and fair weatherness of many Cavs fans. Look how many fewer Cavs fans post on here compared to previously. they start winning again and the board will be flooded with them.

have never understood why you get so bent out of shape (other than to troll) about attendance but to each his own i guess. im going to enjoy the games and couldnt care less if the place is empty or full

How does it not make sense? You continue to bring up "fair weather Cavs fans" and I mentioned that if the Lakers were the Clippers you wouldn't be a fan.

Is it hard to understand? That means you're a bandwagon fan. You have no ties to the Lakers.

What "ties" do you have to the Cavs other than you happen to live in the same State they play in?

That would be 10 times the amount of ties you have to make you a Laker fan.
