Fister is damn good. Look him up over the past 2 seasons...including his stint in Seattle. The tribe fucked up beyond belief for grabbing Ubaldo last year, when the numbers clearly showed Fister was the much better value.Rotinaj;1242620 wrote:6th out of 14 is nothing special. Verlander is amazing and the rest are no better than slightly above average.

6-7 w a 3.48 ERA is damn good? Sounds like a terrible w/l and a slightly above average ERA. Not sure what your getting at. Previous years mean absolutely nothing when talking about this year.

His 11-13 record (going 3-12 in Seattle) was nowhere indicative of his pitching ability. Seattle's offense has been extremely anemic, and he simply got awful run support. Reminded me of Felix's Cy Young year where he went 13-12, and his 12 losses included 13 runs of support.

Yeah...3.48 is damn good. And LOL at your "last year doesn't count" crap. If you don't know what I was getting at, then you shouldn't be posting on a baseball thread.Rotinaj;1245460 wrote:6-7 w a 3.48 ERA is damn good? Adam Dunn just hit an absolute bomb in Toronto to dead CF. It was a center cut fastball and he hit it and homer announcer Hawk Harrelson was rooting for it to "stretch" and the ball hit off the facing of the CF wall roughly 55 feet above the field....the other announcer just laughing at him telling it to "stretch"....he said it was a Herman Munster HR.
Would've knocked windows out of the boat in GABP.

Dunn follows with an opposite field HR
33 for the season and #398 for his career
Was his 1,000th career RBI (age 32)

From the best team in baseball, yeah I'm on the bandwagon, the Nats are up 1-0 on the Giants, early.
Interesting article about how the Nats will shut down Strasburg, even as the team is not fully behind it.

I get why they are doing it, but playoffs are never guaranteed.
The Nats could be hosting a divisional playoff game and Straburg will be sitting on the bench in a jacket.

Unless strasburg says he's not feeling up to pitching it's absolutely insane that they would sit him
For a playoff run.

Good. I'm guessing he won't be the last big name to be suspended this year.

And it's a perfect game for Felix Hernandez, the 23rd in MLB history. Struckout five of the last six batters he faced.
