We had a fairly difficult return last year but I did it on either TT or HRBlock's website. It said we owed the $4k. My wife decided that I must have done something wrong so I redid it. Same number. She then decided that we should go to HRBlock and have someone do our taxes for us. So we paid them ~$300 to tell us we owed...$4k. Yeah, we'll never go back. My wife is now confident that I know what I'm doing so I can do them from now on. Hmm, then it is just another case of the government fucking you once again. I am hoping just to break even, but I am guessing I'll owe a bit this year. I almost was perfect last year.
