I think he was stressing the "week 11" part as in people are normally wrong when we doubt them. I don't think it was a lack of appreciate for community support.CCRolly;1252817 wrote:Are you saying you'd rather them not come and support the Riders in Week 11 then?

So from the team picture in today's paper...Wooster's helmets are blank on one side and their jersey # on the other side. Is that how they'll be this season?

Beating a City Series team is nothing new...McCreary could (and did) do that.OQB;1253612 wrote:Good luck tonight Generals! I hope this is a start to a new style and tradition to your football program!

The trolls need to be worrying more about Northwest tonight than what Wooster's up to! I'm predicting a long, long season for Orrville football.

Well, if the Generals knock off the Riders this year, we'll still have to hear about the 7 year streak. It's a no-win situation for us. I don't think we'll hear too much from the Orrville faithful about our next two non-conference games against Wadsworth and Chagrin Falls. Let's not forget however, that starting next year or the year after, the Riders will be opening with a Cleveland City series opponent.

Cleveland is bigger than Akron...therefore we win.
Wadsworth & chagrin will be tough games...but it will prepare them for the OCC like Mt. Vernon never did. It was a good move for the blue & gold.

I really do want Wooster to start a winning tradition because it makes the rivalry that much better.....like Michigan/Ohio state, I will be pulling for Wooster until we play each other week 10!

OQB, totally agree with everything you said. Just from the other side of the County. Here's hoping we both get wins tonight with no injuries.

Should be interesting to see what kind of a crowd is at the game tonight. It feels like there is a bit of excitement in the air so hopefully the people come out to support the Generals. Community support is important, win or lose.

Totally agree. It's time for the Wooster faithful to get off of their hands and lose that "Wine & Cheese" atmosphere. Let's support these kids and coaches who are busting their behinds. Go Woo!

Never seen anything like a Wooster football crowd...2000 people on the home side, and at any given time less than 2 dozen of them even know the score.
I don't know if that can be changed...They truly don't really care.

Jaco , are you Kevin Lynch in disguise. Orrville's going to be OK because we reload and have tradition. We're 1-0. CC rolly is right you need to win an early season game against a strong opponent because you play Orrville and Clearfork which are D-IV teams, take it to heart. We've played Cleveland teams before with the obvious advantage of if you play the Cleveland team that beats all the other bad D- I Cleveland teams then you get a butt load of points. We even feed them after the game to get them to come here and we have turf now and they'll want to come worse, but we do play a conference schedule heavily weighted with D-I and D-II teams and if we can beat some of them were in the play offs , which is where we want to be.

Garfield had a girl kicker? Really? So with Woo losing by 2 PAT's does that mean they lost to a girl?
