Owned an LG for 2 weeks and it shit itself. Took it back and got a Samsung. Now own 3 Samsungs and will never look back.

Still true, although many of the newer/better plasmas have anti-reflective on the glass so they are considerably better in brighter rooms than they used to be. And in my experience, they are fine in brighter rooms it's only if you have direct sunlight hitting the screen that you get glare.
