That kid was nuts! Gonna have a short career like that. Holloway is really good for his age.

He took the fight on like 10 days notice. He put up a hell of a fight against a really good young up and coming star. I can't say horrible about him. The dude Saunders submitted though looked horrible in submission defense.

I didn't know he took it on short notice, that makes a difference. He just seemed to have no skills, and was blocking punches with his face. Tough to watch.

178 is awesome, sucks that Cormier and Jones got moved but that card has great fights on it.

178 is probably the best card in a long long time IMO

It wouldn't look like it does if Jones and DC were still on it. As much as i want to see that fight i think the card is better since they're not on it.

The card was already made aside from Cerrone and Alzarez while Dc and Jones were still headlining. There were rumors before that fight got moved that Cerrone and Alvarez were going to be on that card with everyone else.

Anyone watching this weekend? I have zero interest in the title fight - two of the most boring personalities in the UFC.

I might walk down to the local bar to check out the title fight. I think Barao/Dillashaw is a great match up and I'm intrigued if TJ can repeat his performance. Others fights are meh, and I would certainly never pay for this one.

Shitty card but I'll try and watch the Dillashaw fight. I like TJ and he has looked really good since TUF and joining Alpha Male. Is Bang gonna be in his corner.

I want to see Cejudo's fight on the prelims and the title rematch. Anyone think Dillashaw can do it again?

What do personalities have to do with fighting ability? This isn't pro wrestling.

Yes Bang has been living with him and will corner him.

They are giving Cejudo a very tough first fight in Jorgensen. I think Barao is going to smoke him this time, but who knows.

I think the big question is, does anyone care? To me, it's two fighters who don't move the needle. I'd like to see Faber fight Dillashaw and Cruz. Outside of that, the bantamweight division doesn't do it for me.

Worst case scenario - then you have people calling for a 3rd fight between these two.

I don't think so, if Barao wins convincingly I think they move on and let TJ build back up.

I care, there are a ton of fighters who "don't move the needle" that I care to watch fight. Not everyone can be a huge star. Bantamweights are awesome to watch imo, so much speed and technique.

I'm with RDI. Robj55 seems to like the actual science of the game more than most on here. You can see the bright side of most events. Ha, I love watching MMA but some fights are down right boring to me. It's not taking away from the skill of the fighters, sometimes fights are just boring.

Don't get me wrong I love a brawl and a crazy KO or submission also, but MMA at it's top level can't be beaten and TJ and Barao are both top level fighters. The rest of the card is poor on paper but I've learned to save judgement until after the card happens. I've seen stacked cards end up being below average and below average talent cards end up being amazing. This is certainly the worst ppv on paper they have done in a long time.
