Hamill needs too retire, that was hard to watch. Thiago must have had some injury or something during camp because he gassed and wasn't nearly as crisp as against Feijao.

Won some money tonight. Looking at this card some of the lines were the worst I've seen in a long time.

If a fighter holds onto a submission for a couple extra seconds once, MAYBE they can say they didn't realize it was stopped.Raw Dawgin' it;1516238 wrote:Palhares receives lifetime UFC ban

However, this is the 2nd time Palhares has done it well after the ref has stopped the fight. He deserves what he gets.

It's more than the second time. I think Palhares might legitimately be slow or something.

He's under the mindset to hold on until it's absolutely positive he got the submission. His manager was saying he even hurts guys in practice with this mentality.I Wear Pants;1516289 wrote:It's more than the second time. I think Palhares might legitimately be slow or something.
Also - Pierce should've trained nothing but leg lock defense, it's all the guy has.

Glad Palhares got cut. If you watched the fight even after the ref jumps on him he looks up and then Cranks the heel hook one more time.

Good. No matter what his "mindset" supposedly is, there's no excuse or reason for that bullshit. If you're so fucked in the head that "100% sure I have the submission and can release the hold" is equal to "people trying to pry you off the guy", you're too brain-damaged for contact sports.Raw Dawgin' it;1516238 wrote:Palhares receives lifetime UFC ban

Palhares has some mental issues it seems like. Remember the Dan Miller fight anyone? He has either quit fighting too soon or fought for too long holding submissions.

He also had a mental lapse in the Marquardt where I think he stopped to complain about greasing. Weird dude.robj55;1516522 wrote:Palhares has some mental issues it seems like. Remember the Dan Miller fight anyone? He has either quit fighting too soon or fought for too long holding submissions.

They said he was trained to hold on because his coach has to submit someone twice in one of the early ufc events because the official didn't see it.

Tremendous card tomorrow night, one of the biggest fights in recent memory imo. How's it gonna go down?

It's gonna be a good one. The free undercard is even stacked.
Ill take Cain
Cormier
melendez ( possible fight of the year candidate)
Jordan
dobson
Undercard
boetsch
marquart over Lombard how is this not on the main card
jessica eye. I've watched a lot of her fights in the naafs and she's pretty legit
george sot
I am am really hoping big country can pull off the upset if Cormier does win who does he fight first at 205 jones has glover and then probably a rematch with Gus before he can get a title shot

I think JDS knocks out Cain again, uses more movement and lands something big. He did a tremendous job of stuffing take downs in the early part of the fight until he got hurt/gassed. I think there will be a lot more back and forth in this fight though.
I think DC will use his wrestling and clinch game against Big Country, don't think it's going to be particularly exciting. Wouldn't count out Roy landing something hard and pulling it off though.
You're right, Melendez vs Diego could be a fight of the year type candidate. I like Melendez because I think he is a little more technical everywhere.
Taking Gonzaga over Jordan based on experience and more complete game but Jordan is a powerhouse(holds all kinds of lifting records at LSU where he played football). This one will end quickly I think.
I've heard really good things about Montague but Dodson is a freak athlete and has a ton of power for 125, rumored to be able to dunk a basketball at only 5'3''.
Boetsch over CB although I'd like to see the Ohio Native win. Think this will be a pretty good competitive fight though.
Taking Lombard but who the hell knows how this will go lol All I know is it will be fireworks till someone goes down.
Eye over Kaufmann who is really good, Eye is a Cleveland native I believe?
I think Noons is going to knock out GSot, who's chin can't take much anymore. Noons has pretty good TDD and is a really good counter puncher.

Yeah eye is from Cleveland. She has had most of her fights in the NAAFS which has produced fighters like Stripe Miocic Jason dent and Chris Lozano.
BTW there's no chance this is the last time JDS and Cain fight. They are head and shoulders above the rest of the division. The only person close to them may be Travis Browne. I have always thought Cain was a the better fighter and see him again beating JDS in dominating fashion.
Melendez is probably the most underrated fighter in the UFC. He is right up there with Pettis and Ben Henderson in that division.
