I think you're failing to see the writing on the wall with Shogun. I think Glover beats him up, and imo I don't think it would be close.

I agree 100%. Glover should destroy Shogun right now in my opinion. Shogun, minus 2 fights against Machida, has NOT been NEARLY the same since Pride.

I know he is worn from all the wear and tear throughout the years but he just had a competitive fight with Gus in December and Glover is the type to stand right in front of you. With the type of power Shogun possesses he could very well win that fight. Don't forget, Glover hasn't beat any top tier fighters yet, he is smashing guys who he should be who are much worse than him.

He beat Rampage. Pretty sure the fight would look like that. Rampage has power but didn't have the speed or the stamina, sounds like Shogun to me.

Shogun is 4-4 since 2009, yes, those 4 losses are against the top of the division (Gus, Jones, Machida, Hendo). His only 'big' win in that time frame was Machida.

Forrest has been terrible since he lost the title and Vera has never really been top tier.

I love Shogun, but facts are facts, he isn't the same as he used to be.

Glover has destroyed everyone he has faced except Rampage and he still beat him pretty soundly.

He did but Rampage is a shell of the fighter he was just 2 years ago. Shogun still seems hungry where Rampage didn't. I would favor Glover don't get me wrong but beating up Maldinado(a fight he got rocked in), Kingsbury and Te Huna doesn't automatically say to me that he would walk through Shogun, even this version of Shogun.

Rumor is that Chael Sonnen will step up and fill in for Lil Nog against Shogun now. Tough break for Shogun, you're preparing for a boxer in Lil Nog and bjj black belt and you get a grinder wrestler on 2 weeks notice.

I think Shogun has a chance with a submission. He'll most likely lose a decision by g'n'p

Chael has been submitted 8 times, I could see a Shogun win by knee bar or triangle. only 3 rounds favors Chael though with his style and Shogun's lack of wrestling defense. Still hasn't been confirmed however.

Lyoto Machida vs Phil Davis supposedly agreed upon for UFC 163 in Brazil, that wraps up Gus vs Jon Jones, probably at UFC 164 or the Fox Sports 1 debut. What a tough fight for Phil.

Most likely Ben Henderson on Fox. He doesn't generate enough for a PPV.

That would make sense, why waste the PPV draw on free tv, Jones vs Gus at 164 would make sense.

Machida and Davis will be interesting, that will be the best pure wrestler Machida has ever faced. It will be interesting to see if Davis can get Machida on the ground where other wrestlers have failed.

I think it would be sweet to have Jones on free tv - could bring in a lot of new fans. But I don't think they want to waste the PPV dollars. Bendo is getting tiresome though. I feel like him and Nate Diaz are always on the fox cards.

No doubt, interesting styles clash. Davis has no choice but to take him down, he will get killed on the feet.

Good for him, he will be their biggest star and most recognizable guy. Will probably bring them quite a few casual fans.

Rampage now saying he wants to fight at Heavyweight. When notoriously lazy fighters like him and BJ want to go up a weight, they usually say it is for more exciting challenges, when really it means they won't have to train hard and cut weight. This is not a good sign for Bellator.

Seems like they are trying to make Rampage into a huge star, not just in MMA either.
