Uriah could not beat Anderson, Chael constantly undermines Silva's greatness and takes subtle shots at him. Uriah will probably end up top 10(possibly), but Anderson is a terrible match up for him. They don't need to rush him anyway, let him get experience and develop.bigdaddy2003;1423007 wrote:I never said Dylan had a real shot to win. I said I wasn't that impressed with him going into the 2nd round with Bones' last pick. I guess I just expected Uriah to end it quick. Maybe Chael's speech to him saying he could beat Spider made me expect more.

Is any trans person "sick" or just ones that want to compete in MMA?robj55;1423142 wrote:I understand what you are saying, perhaps he went about saying in the wrong way. However, I completely agree with his premise, Fox is a sick person, you were born and man and you are beating up women. I don't care how many chromosomal changes he has undergone. Just not right imo.

I'm just referring to someone who competes in a combat sport, you have to draw the line somewhere. I can't agree with it, even without knowing all the facts. I've heard that by now Fox has no competitive advantage over other women she is competing against but morally I can't agree with it.I Wear Pants;1423221 wrote:Is any trans person "sick" or just ones that want to compete in MMA?

And that's okay. Had Mitrione said something similar to that he likely wouldn't have been suspended (or if he had people like me would be saying it's stupid along with you).robj55;1423244 wrote:I'm just referring to someone who competes in a combat sport, you have to draw the line somewhere. Yeah but some doctors do think Fallon Fox has a competitive advantage being born a man. Men are born with higher bone density and taking estrogen is not gonna change your bone density.

Joe Rogan went on a long rant on his podcast about how outrageous it is Fox is fighting women. It got put on TMZ so it's reasonable to assume Dana heard it and didn't suspend him. I agree, it was the way Mitrione insulted transgenders as whole that probably got him suspended.

Don't be shocked if Kelven beats Uriah. Allow me to explain. Uriah fought all strikers not a single good qualified grappler. When Dylan did eventually really go for a TD he got it. Kelvin may very well take Uriah down and ground and pound him all three rounds. Not saying it going to happen I am saying it may happen that way. Josh Samman was a beast and Kelvin manhandled him. Lets see what Uriah can do against a decent grappler. Kelvin is not even a great grappler but, he was the best on this season of TUF. I will not be surprised at all if Kelvin wins this fight, though I am not counting on it as I have not seen enough of Uriah's ground game to make a versed opinion.robj55;1423145 wrote:Uriah could not beat Anderson, Chael constantly undermines Silva's greatness and takes subtle shots at him. Actually transitioning MtF people do see a loss of bone density. The question is the length of time it takes to happen.sportchampps;1423340 wrote:Yeah but some doctors do think Fallon Fox has a competitive advantage being born a man. I agree with you, a lot of unknowns yet about his all around game, not saying he doesn't have it we just don't know.Zombaypirate;1423643 wrote:Don't be shocked if Kelven beats Uriah. I think Faber and Jorgensen will be a great fight, I give the edge to Faber based on his speed and athleticism. Think Faber will sub him in the middle rounds somewhere.
I think Kelvin could possibly take down Uriah and sub him but I have a feeling Uriah will ride this momentum and find a way to win standing.
I'm taking Cat Zingano in an upset over Miesha, I saw her fight in Invicta and was very impressed.
I like Travis Browne to bounce back and use his athleticism to beat Gonzaga, although NApao could take him down and sub him, hard fight to pick.
Bubba Mcdaniel over Gilbert, wasn't really impressed with either but Bubba is experienced and should be able to keep Smith at range.

It really did not work out well for Uriah, I thought with him facing all strikers he may be in trouble against a grappler and it turned out to be true. The first rule of MMA when a grappler takes on a striker put your money on the grappler. The grappler will not always win, however most of the time when a striker is taken out of his element it is all over for them. Uriah needs to work on his wrestling and he will really be a beast.Hb31187;1422575 wrote:Uriah is gonna demolish dude in the final lmao

That Zigano made a mess of Tates face. Tate was saying one of the final blows before the fight was stopped was an illegal knee. Either way Tate was getting worked.OSH;1425294 wrote:I just watched a highlight reel of Zigano v. Tate.

Man that was a great card top to bottom. How awesome is women's MMA? Cat Zingano is ferocious and nasty. Uriah got exposed a bit, you aren't Anderson Silva, stop dropping your hands against the fence, he went backwards way too much and let Kelvin dictate the fight. Kelvin was tenacious though and is a very good prospect, he didn't respect or fear Uriah and that is why he won. Faber looks tremendous, he looked fast and is amazing in scrambles. FOX card next week!
