Again your opinon. Who cares who feeds the controversy? Again, both fight decisions had controversy. Whether you agree or not is irrelevant.Fab1b;1081025 wrote:The problem is I don't see the controversy with Diaz/Condit! The media is feeding the controversy I don't think the fans nor either fighter is, even though Diaz said what he said directly after the fight Cesar and his camp knows they lost that fight! Diaz is a jackass, though I respect him the cage! To compare to Rua/Machida to me isn't valid either as these two fights were not as close, or one sided as the other. Rua was robbed, Diaz was not!

How about we all agree to stop beating a dead horse and move on?

Who's got Smooth over Frankie Edgar? Every time i think Edgar is going to lose he wins, but still have trouble picking him to win fights ha.

Both guys had welts on the right side of their face. How is it similar where Werdum actually beat the piss out of Nelson? It's not. Nick pushed the pace all night and landed some very good shots. Condit backed up the entire night like Machida does. It was a very close decision that could have gone either way.jmog;1080749 wrote:Look at Diaz's face after the fight vs Condit's. While it wasn't as bad as Werdum/Nelson, it was actually similar. One guy pushing forward, the other circling and using good striking to beat up the guy pushing forward.
Edit: I agree with Raw, lets move past this lol.

I've got Smooth winning as well. His striking is much, much more fluid then Grey's and BJ's and we all saw what Grey did to Frankie when he wasn't gassed.Raw Dawgin' it;1081137 wrote:Who's got Smooth over Frankie Edgar? I really hope Ellenberger KO's Sanchez.

Actually if you read my posts I said I had it 48-47, 3 rounds to two and even said the one round was close. So yes, I did have it as a close decision.Raw Dawgin' it;1080793 wrote: It obviously wasn't a close decision in your eyes, i get it, you think Condit beat him up yada yada yada, but move on! Clearly not everyone shares your opinion or a rematch wouldn't even be talked about. You're not going to change peoples minds who thought Diaz won. What i thought is different than what you thought, you're not going to change my mind, move on from this.
What I did say is that I thought the Diaz fans were HILARIOUS in their whining that it was a terrible decision. I wouldn't have thought it to be terrible if the judges had picked either guy. Looking at their faces it was obvious who beat up who, but based on the scoring system in MMA, it could have gone either way.
Anyone who says Diaz got ripped off is a moron, just like anyone who would try to say that Condit was easily and it should have been 50-45.

The HUGE difference in the Rua/Machida and Diaz/Condit fights are this.Raw Dawgin' it;1081020 wrote:my point that the decision has controversy. I don't give a **** how people scored it. I compared it to the rua/machida decision, the DECISION BEING CONTROVERSIAL, NOT COMPARING THE ACTUAL FIGHT. People are split on this fight which is why i don't mind there being a rematch. I get people saying it shouldn't be controversial cause ring control is only part of scoring and you comparing it to the the nelson fight, i get that. But to say it's not similar to the rua/machida decision because you didn't agree with that decision is no different than people saying they didn't agree with this one. Seriously, take away what happened in the fights and you have two decisions where people are on both sides of it and want a rematch.
edit: I watched the fight live i know what happened. I scored it 1,2,5 for Diaz. At the end though i thought Condit was going to get the nod because of what Rogan was saying. IMO the 1st round could have gone either way.
The reason people thought the Rua/Machida fight was BS and controversial was because Rua beat the crap out of Machida, Machida was torn up at the end of the fight, both his legs and his face. Even though I am a fan of Machida (not so much Rua) even I said that was a BS decision.
That fight was controversial because a decision went to a fighter who got the crap kicked out of them.
Diaz got the crap kicked out of him, not as bad as Machida did, but almost. Look at Diaz's face vs Condit's. None of you Diaz fans have made any comments about that yet. This is ONLY controversial because people want to give so much credit for walking forward even though he was walking forward while getting the crap kicked out of him.

I'm with you on that one, I have yet to "pick" Edgar to win, even though I'm a fan of his, but he wins everytime nonetheless.Raw Dawgin' it;1081137 wrote:Who's got Smooth over Frankie Edgar? Every time i think Edgar is going to lose he wins, but still have trouble picking him to win fights ha.

Never thought he's beat BJ, let alone twice. I really think Smooth wins because of his cardio. He can match Frankies pace and i think he'll get him to the ground and do damage since he's the bigger guyjmog;1081189 wrote:I'm with you on that one, I have yet to "pick" Edgar to win, even though I'm a fan of his, but he wins everytime nonetheless.

I don't think he can get/control Edgar on the ground, Edgar is too good of a wrestler. Smooth has to win standing, in my opinion. Only way he wins it on the ground if he dazes Edgar standing and pounces.Raw Dawgin' it;1081193 wrote:Never thought he's beat BJ, let alone twice. I really think Smooth wins because of his cardio. Jim Miller is pretty good on the ground and he put on a clinic. Could definitely see this going to a decision and people being on the fence about who won hajmog;1081195 wrote:I don't think he can get/control Edgar on the ground, Edgar is too good of a wrestler. I do, but more out of bias than anything. Smooth's one of those guys who I saw a lot when I started getting into MMA on those syndicated WEC shows they had on Vs, so I'm hoping to see him get a belt.Raw Dawgin' it;1081137 wrote:Who's got Smooth over Frankie Edgar? Fighter's name and offense not yet released but at least one positive drug test came back from 143, Diaz?

Possible-Werdum, and I ONLY say that because he definitely looked much bigger/stronger muscle wise than he did in the past.

I haven't seen the fight since it happened, and I thought Condit had a welt under his right eye. I remember him having a slight cut but I guess not.jmog;1081186 wrote:
