I don't think it was so much of Carwin sucking as it was JDS is really good and JDS caught Carwin early in the first (1st Rd). Carwin was never quite the same after that. Major props to Carwin for hanging in there. JDS is just a helluva boxer.

Yeah, but Carwin didn't even look like Carwin. I believe his trainers have been pushing him in the wrong direction. JDS looked good but I see Cain wrecking him.

I see Cain wrecking almost anyone to be honest.

JDS controlled the center of the octagon with the jab and kept Shane off balance setting up his other punches, great performance by him and he admitted that he fought a smart fight afterwards because of Carwin's power.

I think a few of the strikeforce Heavyweights can beat him to be honest, and it wouldn't shock me if JDS beat him after his long layoff.

I think Brock will come back and beat him.

@Bigdaddy np.
Carwin looked very, very slow last night.
If Brock had fought JDS last night, he would have kept him guessing b/c of his quickness.

Doubt it to be honest. Brock doesn't like getting hit. JDS' jab would have ruined Brock.

The strikeforce hws are beyond over rated. They have made their names beating on each other and against washed up former big namesI think a few of the strikeforce Heavyweights can beat him to be honest, and it wouldn't shock me if JDS beat him after his long layoff.

Reem is the only SF HW that could challenge for the title, IMO

I can't agree more, I thought split decision as the 3rd round could have gone either way.
No one in their right mind can give the 1st round to Munoz, that judge is retarded and should never be allowed to judge an MMA fight again.
I wouldn't have called it a 10-8 round for Maia, but it was closer to 10-8 Maia than 10-9 Munoz, that is for sure.

Werdum was 2-2 in the UFC with losses to Arlovski and J. Dos Santos. JDS beat him in less than 1:30. Werdum also beat Fedor once in Strikeforce. I like Werdum but he would get beat by the top 4 or so HWs in the UFC.

SF HW need to be brought over for depth. Sooner or later it's going to be the same few guys competing for the title if they don't

Because of the Fedor fight? I think he can fight in the UFC, but i don't think he beats guys in the top 5 of the division. Honestly, I think Pat Barry or Kongo would KO his too. They both have great striking and IMO they'd catch Werdum before he could get it to the ground. Also think Frank Mir would destroy him since he can hit hard and has the ground game to take anyone out

B/c he beat a over the hill Fedor? Please.
He is incredibly overrated.
The only person from SF that can challenge Cain, JDS, and Brock is Ubereem.

Not because of the Fedor fight. Because of his career, Gonzaga twice when he was in his prime, Overreem, both Emelianenkos, Bigfoot Silva. He's beat some pretty good dudes.
I'm not saying he would necessarily come in and win a championship or something but a lot of people are pretending that he got cut from the UFC because he was terrible or something. He lost to a prime Arlovski, won two fights, then lost to JDS. "Not turrable"
Just look at the dudes he's lost to, Sergei Kharitonov, Noguiera in his prime, Arlovski in his prime, and JDS. No scrubs there.
Again, not saying he would definitely win against any/all the top UFC guys but he would definitely put up good fights.
And please, many people can challenge Brock as long as they have a gameplan and are fit enough to stick to it. Plus it isn't like that dude's going to have many more fights.

Arlovski was terriable his whole career he tok advantage of a weak gruop of hws to bechampion. I think the sf hw with the brightest future is khar. Bigfoot is garbage just bc he beats fedor doesn't make him great I think b4 that fight he had lost 2 out of 3

No, he hadn't. He has two loses in his career. One in 2006 and one in 2009 to Werdum. His last three fights are wins over Fedor, Mike Kyle, and Arlovski. Arlovski was never great but he was a pretty good KO guy for a while. I mean, he knocked out Roy Nelson. And yeah Arlovski has lost four in a row but they were to Khar, Bigfoot, Rogers, and Fedor. None of them are slouches.
Again, not saying these guys would come in and tear up but I don't understand why some people assume that everyone not in the UFC is garbage. Simply not true.
