Arlovski is an elite striker he just has a glass chin, he was winning all of those fights before getting caught.

yeah i was wrong about silva. I think there are some good guys outside of the ufc but the sf hws are just not that good. Barnett is pretty good but teests postive for steroids a couple times and the other guys are younger who need some more expereince before fighting someone like cain who is well rounded and dominate. The SF hws would make the ufc hw division more solid but i dont see any of them going for a title any time soon but they can definitley compete with any hw outside the top 3 in the ufc. I would putsome of the sf hws somewhere in the top 10 but outside of the top 3 for sure

Uberreem's chin is still a bit suspect but assuming he doesn't get KO'd I don't know who can take him. There isn't a striker in MMA that is on his level and he's got pretty damned good submissions as well having trained with Bas Rutten and such.

But yeah, I don't know if a lot of the SF heavies could really do too well against Cain but I think a lot of them are good enough to get shots if they were in the UFC today. I mean, who else is there besides JDS? Mir?

I agree. I think they need to merge for the depth to create some new match ups before the division runs dry.

I Wear Pants;800789 wrote:No, he hadn't. He has two loses in his career. One in 2006 and one in 2009 to Werdum. His last three fights are wins over Fedor, Mike Kyle, and Arlovski. Arlovski was never great but he was a pretty good KO guy for a while. I mean, he knocked out Roy Nelson. And yeah Arlovski has lost four in a row but they were to Khar, Bigfoot, Rogers, and Fedor. None of them are slouches.

Again, not saying these guys would come in and tear up but I don't understand why some people assume that everyone not in the UFC is garbage. Simply not true.

Roy should have won that fight.

It was fixed. Roy had control of him and out of no where the refs stands them up.

I wouldn't have called it a 10-8 round for Maia, but it was closer to 10-8 Maia than 10-9 Munoz, that is for sure.

Dana White tweeted,
The judge that scored that 30- 27 should be BEAT WITH A STICK!!!!!!!!
and
And just for the record omigawa will get his win money cause he WON THAT FIGHT!!!!

Anyone know for sure when JDS will get his title match?

If you are of the betting variety, JDS has opened as the early favorite at -125 with Cain at -105

I Wear Pants;800679 wrote:Not because of the Fedor fight. Because of his career, Gonzaga twice when he was in his prime, Overreem, both Emelianenkos, Bigfoot Silva. He's beat some pretty good dudes.

I'm not saying he would necessarily come in and win a championship or something but a lot of people are pretending that he got cut from the UFC because he was terrible or something. He lost to a prime Arlovski, won two fights, then lost to JDS. "Not turrable"

Just look at the dudes he's lost to, Sergei Kharitonov, Noguiera in his prime, Arlovski in his prime, and JDS. No scrubs there.

Again, not saying he would definitely win against any/all the top UFC guys but he would definitely put up good fights.

And please, many people can challenge Brock as long as they have a gameplan and are fit enough to stick to it. Plus it isn't like that dude's going to have many more fights.

I agree that Werdum is a good fighter and I like to watch him fight, but he isn't good enough to beat the top 3-4 guys in the UFC, he'd be top 5-7 in the UFC and have some good fights.

Overeem is the only SF HW that would compete at the top of the division.

If anything the Strikeforce heavyweights would bring a breath of fresh air to the UFC Heavyweight division and some very interesting match ups.

Carano isn't fighting this weekend, she had to pull out. I'll take Overeem, Barnett and KJ Noons

Unfortunately Kampmann is out, he always brings it. Matt Brown is replacing him.

Stoked for the fights tonight. Picked up a bottle of booze and will probably grab some Chipotle.
