Jones is using too many douche elbows for my liking (the short ones guys use to just cut people instead of do damage).

And just like with Machida, I don't like Jones because everyone is on his nuts about how he's the future.

Bones seems like a guy who doesn't give a shit about who he fights, he knows what his job is and his job is to beat the shit out of anybody in front of him.. I could tell in his post fight interview about Evans that he was like "whatever"..

I'm sorry, but not by me. Machida is a very good fighter, but he's never "wowed" me with his style or fights. Sure, he had a couple of great showings, but Jonny Bones literally impresses me more and more each time I see him.

To each their own. I'm just going to enjoy watching this beast perform each fight.

People also said this about Silva, so...

So, not only did Jonny Bones Jones win the LHW title today, but he also stopped a purse snatcher before the fight.

Don't get me wrong, dude is impressive and can obviously bang. But I get a bit not upset, but skeptical when people crown a dude the future greatest ever or something like that immediately after he wins his first title.

Plus Shogun was stylistically perfect for Jones. Not taking anything away from his fight but Shogun is a more cerebral fighter I think (aka Jones is much faster).

Ok, I can agree with that. Obviously Bones still needs a bigger body of work, but at his age and technically being undefeated, of course the UFC is going to push him.

They need a "face" to promote.. And why not the young phenom?

I really can;t stand Evans, but I do think he'll be a stiff test to Bones. I still think bones will win by stoppage though.

I think someone who is more apt to try submissions could do well against Jones.

First thing i have to say is did anyone notice how close cro cop was to having his leg bend under him again.

Secondly Most people have thought jones was the future since about his third fight. I just dont see many people who can match his strength speed or reach. If i had to pick a bad matchup for jones its rampage. Another guy who I like who is up and coming is phil davis

"Bones" Jones is the real deal, folks. This guy is going to put together a GSP / Silva -like run. He's basically an undersized heavyweight fighting light-heavyweights. There isn't a guy in that division that can match his size. What's so nasty about "Bones" is he has the stand-up to compete with anyone and his wrestling skills are outstanding. We're witnessing a legend here, folks.

There are some other really big light heavyweights such as Forest and Randy. Jones is only 1 inch taller then forest. Bonnar is just as tall. There are alot of guys who are his size its his reach that presents problems.

Did anyone notice that Shogun was tapping as the ref was stopping the fight?

Yeah I saw that, he'd had enough at that point, props for him for having the heart to last that long. Jones was extremely impressive. I think there is only one guy at this point who can cause problems for Jones, that being Lyoto Machida. Amazing takedown defense, almost impossible to get ahold of and is strong as a bull in the clinch. Not to mention he is a counter striker who can leap in and out without taking any damage. If anyone can test Jones it's Machida. Shogun had a very bad matchup with Jones, but I didn't expect it to be that one sided.

I have and they hurt but my point is that the goal of the rubbing type elbows (which is what I meant ones where you come from really any distance I'm cool with) is to open cuts. I think that's lame. A lot of other fighters and MMA people do as well.
