Hypothetical? The police WERE notified.

I understand that. DO you understand that them being notified or not has nothing to do with the disappointment in Mr. Paterno?

The Hypothetical was if reference to doing more or not if the police were notified or not.

The police involvement is irrelevant in the opinions being levied against Mr. Paterno. It's not a circular argument. Nothing would change if the police were not involved and Mr. Paterno acted the way he did.

To save us all time, no one cares about your "high and mighty" lawyer friends in NYC, no one cares about anything you do related to law.

So cops act on every anonymous tips all the time? No, there are certain thresholds the tipster must meet for the police to act accordingly. McQ would have met this threshold. Paterno? Not so sure.

Also, the campus police were notified. It's not Paterno's fault the person in charge of the campus police is one of the people now in major trouble.
Yet he spends time arguing law on a minor league message board. I am surprised that Alan Dershowitz, Robert Shapiro and Mark Geragos do not frequent this site with their opinions.

The guy Paterno notified was not "the police". The campus police reported up through him, but he was not an officer of the law.

Regardless of this point is the fact that Paterno didn't do what he seemingly would have expected one of his players to do - the right thing.

It isn't high and mighty, it is correct. Sorry to pee in your cheerios but cops act on anonymous tips all of the time, if I call 911 the dispatcher isn't going to grill me on the federal rules of evidence. As long as the call isn't fraudulent no one is in trouble for contacting the police.

Do you even begin to realize how wrong you are on this?

LOL when Skyhook agrees with you, you know you are wrong.

Ask any of your professors at UofA, police investigations aren't bound by trial procedures. Even Cooley students should know this.
