your truck's worth that much?

Im sure you could live on 40-50k pretty comfortably traveling the world for 6 months. Most places have a lower standard of living than America.

As for me, I have no kids, no wife..so I really wouldnt have to worry about the shape i leave my family in. I would live it up and travel for sure. Probably die on a cocaine overdose before the 6 months came.

However, I would be kind of skeptical if any doctor told me I only had 6 months. Seems people outliving that is pretty common anymore.

This right here.

Got no reason to change what I am doing...no matter if I die tomorrow or in 40 years.

Not much different - I more or less live the way I want now. I might quit the job in order to spend some time traveling with Lady D'Friskies.

Rack up a lot of debt and live recklessly. But with my luck, I would have been misdiagnosed and it would have just been fucking heartburn or something.

Most likely...if you have been given only have 6 months to live, you probably already are pretty sick, so a lot of the over the top stuff is probably not going to be achievable. I'd probably just make doubley sure affairs are in order and try to spend as much time with my wife and kids and family....make some memories. I've known a couple of people who were given that sentence....there was really not much of an opportunity to have a good time.

I would probably go to the Cleveland Clinic and see if I really had six months to live, and it wasn't just some shitty doctor being a pessimist.

If I truly had six months to live, I'd make my mother give me my inheritance check and sell my portion of the industrial park, buy a ton or marijuana, and go nuts. I'd probably like to see Hawai'i, so maybe I'd go there before I bought the marijuana. Getting that shit through airport security would be an unnecessary hassle. I'd probably pay the expenses of my 10-15 closest friends. We'd just kick it on the beach for a few months. I lot of great high times and pondering if God exists or not.

Really nothing to radically different. Make sure my affairs were in order, spend extra time with family and close friends, and let whatever happens happen.

Definitely.
You might want to ponder and come up with an answer to that before you do those other things.;)

Find an executor, someone smart with finances. Sit down with them and the wife, make sure I go over all debt that needs to be paid with my life insurance money.

I'm curious why you think he'd need to figure that out first? Would there be an advantage to figuring it out before going to Hawai'i?

Also, I'm going to assume that you've never been high before. It's almost impossible not to ponder the existence of god when you're high.

Set up a trust fund for the kids with the stipulations they get no inheritance until they turn 30. Figure that will give them time to graduate college and experience what it takes to succeed on there own. They would have to work in the businesses for a those years, working there way up until they can prove they are capable of doing the right thing and not spending everything on a lavish lifestyle that they can't support on there own. The wife can take care of everything until then, she is more than capable of running things to ensure she has a comfortable future.

The one thing I'd do for sure is take my boys to a Cubs game and week in Chicago... especially my oldest, I'm not sure my twins would be quite ready yet (if it were to happen now). They haven't been to Wrigley yet, and only to the outskirts of Chicago for a weekend. After that, I'd make amends to anyone I've knowingly hurt or befriended and make sure everything was in line financially for my family.

No I have been high before... a long time ago. I was referring more to his saying definitely to "take a few people with me who need to go" you know murder. That is why I said some of those things.
