A car that will do 75-80mph will do. If he goes to Hilton Head, he wont be driving to Myrtle Beach first. So routing from Myrtle to Hilton Head is not the correct way to map it.

Well we've decided to go to Daytona Beach since it should be about 5-10 degrees warmer there and will have a better chance at being able to go swim in the ocean. We also had a few more people decided they wanted to come with us then originally planned and we found a pretty good deal on a condo for the week right near the ocean. Just wanted to say thanks to all the advice you guys gave.

Enforcer says it will take you an extra 25-30hrs to get to Daytona.

Guess no one on here actually mentioned Daytona but they did say I should look further south I think it was someone from my work who suggested Daytona. But yes originally I was planning on Myrtle but I didn't actually think it would be that cold till people on here brought it up and I looked into going somewhere south.

se-alum LOL! Mapquest tell me it should be about 17 hours... guess I'm doing it wrong?

Don't know if they still do it, but before you were born when I was in college, we went to Daytona and you could drive your car right on the beach! Is that still the case? Decent warmth there in March, seemed like a pretty long drive, you'll probably end up on some MTV show!

Pretty sure you still can. I don't think the drive will be that bad 17 hours doesn't seem too long with at least 4 people going.
