why did shannon 113 default in finals? 182 finals minnard losing by 8 is closer than what i would have figured. Gresham is pretty sweet. Was it a good match?

182 final was like watching paint dry, Gresham was very easy going. Not many shots and seemed to have an ankle injury, he could have ended it very quickly. No offense to the A.C. wrestler as he had a great day but just not on the same level as Gresham.

Well, early on it looked like he could, not sure if it was an injury or what but seemed really frustrated that he couldn't end it in a pin. Not sure what was going on, he got atleast 2 stalls called on him. He is a stud, but I was surprised that it went the entire 3 rounds. Give Minnard credit, he didn't roll over like a fish and give it to him.

Good point, he did not fish out. I passed Gresham in the R.R and he was in alot of pain, hopefully he will be ok come March.

I heard that Shannon did not wrestle due to an injuried shoulder.

He looked like he had a serious ankle injury. I'm guessing he wants to go 82 to see Evans in the finals to beat him again. But with that injury he better go to 95 if he wants another state title. I thought Gresham would win another close one over Evans, But NOT if he looks like he did in the finals at MT.

Coach Tim, I was very impressed by Kern and Knul, they both had a great showing and both look very focused to get to the Schott come March. I was so happy for Nathan that I ran to the stairs to hug him on his way up after the match. He is such a good kid, he even circled back later to thank me for coming to cheer him on... Great Kid!

thank you. We have several really good kids on the team. Not just good athletes but good students and all around good people. I'm happy to see them succeed.
They did wrestle very well, but not perfect. There is always something here or there we can learn from. Today we are not ready for march, but we will be ready by march.

PIN CANCER night at Logan Elm tomorrow night! Someone is going to win a Harley. LE, TV and CV wrestlers and stats will get a pin cancer shirt. Also all teams get to wear new PIN CANCER singlets. Its a pretty exciting night! Then you include the fantastic matchups at a few weight classes and WOW what a night. Hope to see you all there. Tickets for Harley will still be for sale at match.

I'll tell, this thing is still wide open in my opinion, AC - CW may answer some questions, this is going to go down to the wire now that TV lost a match...Which has been rare of late.

2 forfeits, and also 2 kids (Barnes, Hammond) who didn't make weight..... forcing other lineup changes. In the end though, all it affected was the Aces eventual margin of victory. Aces are a lock for at least a share of the league title (by beating FU), and odds on favorite to take all the marbles (if they can take care of business against Circleville).

Amanda can not and will not overlook Circleville or FU, both teams have some very good wrestlers with Circleville being very good dual team. From what I hear, CV has struggled to field what would normally be their starting lineup all year, so it will be interesting next Thursday to see if allot the boys can wrestle.

If the Aces can pull out the victories it would be a great accomplishment for a team that I'm pretty sure has never won the MSL, atleast since they joined the Buckeye with TV in it. TV has been a wrestling machine as far back as I can remember, if Amanda can finish it, I would equate this to when the Aces have went deep into the high school football playoffs, it's that rare to take the title from TV atleast for the Aces.

Nace always has a tough team with excellent wrestlers from top to bottom, they are very good again this year and winning that dual was one to remember for the AC community.

CV is not a very good dual team.....just don't have the numbers this year. If we face a team with a full roster we are in trouble. This could. Be a run of three strait titles for AC....they are young and good.

Congrats on that dual. It's always fun to win the big matches and TV is always one of them. CV has some very good wrestlers but not enough wrestlers to win a dual against Amanda. (You all better watch out for our football team next year, every kid over 170lb in the school is lifting weights for football right now I think) I think FU is AC's last obstacle. Coach Brison had done a wonderful job with that program and should be very proud. Not only this year but AC looks to be tough for a few years to come. I like that the MSL Buckeye keeps getting tougher. That makes us all better. I'm still not exactly sure what all the changes will be with the league but next year should be the same teams as this year I think.

Has the MSL ever had a SQ from every team in the same year? 6 teams have a legitimate shot this year to have qualifiers with the other 2 teams with an out side chance.
