I guess the OP should have taken his 50" plasma to the bar with him....i mean...its not like they have a rule saying you cant. ;)

why would you leave a backpack with valuables in the front seat? Why not at least throw it in the trunk?

lol wife and 3 kids....traveling. Im not criminal minded, but im thinking if I were, I wouldnt want to steal a backpack with the chance of getting someones dirty underwear. Vehicle is an SUV with windows all around...back was loaded and I was prepared to do some work from my laptop on the 3 hour drive home.

On another note: I did meet this guy on the street that had a sweet 50" plasma for very cheap....it looks good too. He also had a laptop, since I needed one, I bought it too. Its full of clown porn and midget porn....there are also sites bookmarked where teachers and students can hook up.

Im not trying to be a dick, and maybe it comes from city living my whole life. But when I travel I keep my valuables in my backpack and when we get out of the car I take it with me. I even wear it into the gas station if Im alone and no one will be at the car. Just habit I guess. Put the pack at your feet while you eat.

Nah, anyone could tell I was gone since I live alone and have one vehicle. Nobody but the friends I was with would've known I would be out. It was a crime of opportunity. Got a pretty strong lead right now, so we'll see what happens.
