Lions only one playoff win since 1957

Don't think they'll get one tonight

Yah these teams don't belong in the Playoffs no defense.

Lions have a pretty noticeable swagger coming into New Orleans tonight,

of course, the opening drive TD helps

You're nuts. The "defense wins championships" stuff is gone. A high octane offense is going to trump a strong defense with a "so so" offense....hence NFC > AFC

Last 10 says 6-4 the other way. But I was joking about the defense.

Offenses are a little different now. Previously I would've agreed with you but offenses like the Packers, Saints, etc are going to trump teams with strong defenses like the Steelers, Ravens & 49ers, imo.

Agreed. Good defenses beat good offenses. But really good defenses don't beat really good offenses. Would be almost impossible to shut down the saints O.

I really hope that was a joke tiger

good work by the Lions holding the Saints scoreless for one quarter...thanks to the turnover but still

but an impressive 89-yard drive by the Saints to tie it

Not ready to give the Super Bowl to the NFC yet.

Steelers and Ravens have the potential to be strong all-around teams if they put it together at the right time

unfortunately I think the Pats will emerge and the Super Bowl will be a shootout

Steelers are probably too banged up this year but they have a glimmer of hope and here's why:

Mendenhall getting hurt.

I'm just going to say that there's a chance that Redman is better suited for the playoffs because of the way he runs between the tackles and picks up hidden yards. If he can run hard and get the offensive line pumped up to block for him, they'll be more balanced. And then if they make it to the Super Bowl, they'll have the balanced offense with more ball control to go along with the defense. Unlikely but there's a chance.
